Grrrr
Why won't this forum take more than 1 pic to up load.
I choose 6 photos and hit upload, and it only loads one of them.
What am I doing wrong ?

The PVC tube holds plastic bags
And my miter saw table is hoisted up with a bike pully system
Andpleantyof storage above my work bench
And my favorite,, my hardware bins are In an old optometrist display cabinet.
My shop VAC is a used central vacume unit,

When I went to use the scrap pipe I had to make some cordless drill holders, as pictured in post #1201, I found it was just a bit on the small side, so made do with what materials were to be had, like so...
It works well enough, but isn't as universal as the pipe idea - each hole is sized for a particular model of drill, whereas the pipes would have taken all sizes.

Very nice, gasser guy!
Is that the 4x8 foam solid insulation board with aluminum skin on your ceiling? If you don't mind me asking? How thick did you use and has it sagged or anything? Looks like it's mounted with those roofing nails(?) that have large plastic washers in them, is that what you did?

Johnny5jz that looks great! What type of boxes are those? (I found some fishing tackle flat boxes that are similar in size that I was thinking about doing the same thing with.

I put a couple of file cabinets along one wall of my garage. Works great for general storage. So much tidier than what I had there previously. Everything is out of sight and stays free from dust etc.

Right place right time when a business was closing up some of their locations.

The 3 drawer units on top were a different colour so I sprayed then in gunmetal hammertone. The shade isn't a great match to the 4 drawer units, but it's close enough for now. I have enough to paint left so maybe down the track I'll spray the bottom ones too, but I'm already super happy how much storage they give me and how tidy it makes the garage look.

Hi Dan,
Yes 4 x 8 hard foam board with foil front about 1" thick, used roofing nails with large aluminum washers. Did the ceiling years ago and still nice and tight.

Are those top drawers difficult to access? It looks like the couple at the far end will hit the door rail before they are fully open...am I seeing it correctly or is the angle of the picture off?:headscrat

Wow, you have crown in your garage! Looks great with the brick and the wall of cabinets. I wouldn't even repaint, I think the slight separation is kind of nice and looks intentional.

Hi Dan,

Oh thanks!

The almost-flat ceiling in my shop is so low that I can't put that board up attached to the joists/rafters in full sheets, I have to rip it and put it between them. The upside of that is it'll hide the badly peeling white paint the old owner painted the 2x's he roofed the shop with. I have been dreading having to strip that. Plus I'm hoping the foil will be more reflective. I suppose it's not fire resistant, but the. Again neither is the decades old wood and peeling paint, ha ha.

I don't know if you had to cut any of yours but do you know if it will cut cleanly with a box cutter or a table saw? I'd prefer not to have to use quarter round molding along the edges.

Hard foam usually cuts well with a utility knife atleast half way through it and then snapping the rest of it

Yes they all open up fully, but access to those ones is from the side rather than the front because of the door rails. On those ones and all of the top row I've taken the file hanger rails off so there is more clearance from the ceiling when accessing them.

The stuff I have placed in them so far is roughly organised by frequency of access - so that the top drawers are for those things we all keep because we think we might have a need for one day - but in reality probably never will.

Reminds me of last time I moved, and moving boxes that were never opened or accessed since the last move 15 years earlier.
