I've had mine since the beggining of the year and I absolutely love it. Removes truck tires with ease (although I prefer to use the 1" impact :D). I have replaced the boot to keep it well protected from scratches, just cause it's so purdy  :D Frame bolts, diff torque rods on kenworths, anything really comes off in short order. Well worth the $480 CDN. I just had to share my enthusiasm! Let me know how you like yours.

I have had mine for just under a year, its a beast it has almost replaced the 3/4" for me. I have tried all of the current high power 1/2" impacts out right now and there is no doubt in my mind that its the current king of the hill.

Our shop has a cp 3/4" impact. 1200 lbs I think. Once I was tighening the bolts on a steering box and my boss walks by. He sees my use my mg725 and tells me to use the 3/4" afterwards to tighten it down harder. After he seen the cp 3/4" couldn't budge it any more, he never doubted my gun since :D

Are you guys using the muffler it came with? I tried mine out for the first time today and man is that thing loud! Wondering how much of a difference it makes.

I'm not, I don't think the power drop while using the muffler would be a whole lot but in a truck shop it really doesn't matter anyways so I might as well get the most out of it.

I am a former MG725 owner. I didn't like the way it felt nose heavy, and heavier than my IR TI series. I just didn't like lugging it around all day. Snap on made massive improvements in power and speed over the XT7100. It's a great and powerful impact but, I just find the IR TIMAX guns to feel more natural and lighter in my hands especially at the end of a long day. It's probably just me, you results may vary.

I have 2 of the MG725 guns. They are very loud and very powerful. The IR2135 is quite a bit lighter and quieter, but it has nowhere near the power of the MG725. I think my MG325 has about the same power as my IR2135, but it is very loud also.

I've had mine about a year, and no complaints. Great gun. Got it on eBay for $399 in as-new condition, but that included two full sets of Snap-on impact sockets; metric shallow and SAE shallow. And a Snap-on tool bag.

The average performance of the 725 and the 2135TiMax are within 5-10% of each other. If you were to test a large sample you would find cases where samples of each outperform the other just due to the statistical distribution of the performance. The MG325 is not in the same ballpark as the 1/2" tools but does compare similarly with the 2115Timax.

I've had the pleasure to use the MG725 and it's a beast. It's damn more powerful than my 2135Ti (non-TiMax). If I had all the money in the world, I'd buy one since I only use my gun occasionally so I wouldn't mind the heaviness. I do like the way the Ti gun feels A LOT better, as if IR used my actual hand as the mold for the handle. :p

I agree, I traded my XT7100, which had plenty of ooomph for what I do, and the MG725 is even better.

Again, I feel that this is a more powerful impact than MOST 3/4" drive ones, but like them all, it ALL depends on the air supply, i.e. little hoses will not suffice.

I got mine used in a deal with some other SO stuff. It was only about a month or so old and its amazed me every time I've used it with its power and ease of taking stuff off. Yes, the MG725 is just a damm fine tool.

Do you guys test at the recommended 90PSI or the 120PSI that most shops are running at?

Most people running 120 or even 150 psi end up with 90 psi or below at the gun due to hose length/ size and quick disconnects used. Also, when manufacturers test at 90, it means they are measuring 90 psi at the inlet of the tool while the tool is running free speed, this equates to higher pressures upstream. But to answer your question testing is done at many different pressures but typically 90 is used for comparrisons.
