couple of things done. Final side of wall panel up, attic ladder installed, plaster board in place. Electrical all done, got its own switch board. All the power points in place including one strong enough for welder. Wired in surround sound while I was doing it to.

Looking fantastic Enad308.

Love the attic ladder, if its not a rude question how much did it cost?

I see you have the inbuilt USB socket outlets, they are a great idea.

Regards

Thanks half cup
Cost of attic ladder? Was around $400, you can get wood ones cheaper, but aluminium are a lot lighter, took me probably 30 minutes to fit. It is a lot easier when no plasterboard is there so you can see exactly what your doing

I put USB socket in one place where television and surround sound is going, I often just chuck phone on so thought I could just get an extra cord and charge while its playing

Sanding and painting now starts, the part I hate the most

Great work! Well done, you wouldn't pick it for a carport conversion. Nice bike and tonner too.

Cheers metalhead new bike arrives first week of October just in time for Moto GP, tonner is close to being done, engine has been fully rebuilt 308' LSD, edelbrock manifold, 650cfm Holley, 2.5 inch dual exhaust with pacemaker headers, all interior redone with original parts, it sounds insane.

I reckon I will change the tray to carry bikes as I think I will build a track bike as I'm at Phillip Island regularly and will get a dirt bike to play with as well.

Sounds good! When looking for a ute for towing and other duties a few years back I nearly bought a tonner, but ultimately ended up with my '79 f250. I've managed to avoid getting into bikes so far...

Did a bit more over weekend. Finished surround sound wiring. First coat of plaster on. Some sheeting in the roof. Stole an idea or 2 from this site, made some stools and I was considering building in storage for cans into walls using 2x4's then i read about the person who's barn burnt down so i ended up finding some old first aid cabinets and painted them up and I will use them.

Came across a bit of a problem as the roller door is higher than the rest of the ceiling so had to improvise a little which also caused some issues when it came to the rafters and what was sticking out hence a bit of a curve going on. My first crack at plastering and i had to cut down the boards for ceiling due to me doing it by myself.

bit of an update, got sanding done and a couple of layers of paint and started putting things on the walls. Didn't get to fussy about roof hence its not so pretty

thinking of doing door trim and trim around bottom in the grey the same as the cabinets, thought?

Well done, those cupboards look fantastic.

Gotta love gumtree, pulled them out of a house that was being renovated, cost me $80 but they were a solid build quality and matched style. Updated the hinges and I've got handles to put on and the final gap to cover up then that's done

Dont wish to rain on your parade, but you didn't put forticon under your slab, and you don't appear to have put damp course plastic between the slab and the bottom plate when you framed the walls. You may have some issues with rising damp in the future.

hmmm, no one seems to have mentioned that before, bit late now!

Little bit of an update, more organizational and posters, made a storage slider for screws, nuts and bolts. Also got the car in for now. The ball and chain is still baffled why I choose to put 37 year old car above our brand new one :) also the new toy is two weeks away and want it ready

Also one of the shelves has some odd stuff, but when anyone is going overseas and ask me if i want anything i just tell them the weirdest cheapest thing they can find

Bit more of an update, more organisational.

Built a workbench/bar to put the stools under. Left over timber I had, don't think I'm going to paint it I kind of like the roughness of it.

Got some strapping under shelving to hold power cords and panel protectors for when i get back to working on car/s.

Put all my fishing rods up into that ugly cavity that i had to change dry wall level.

Did a metal surround for the attic ladder so nothing is exposed.

Hanging space for ramps and fold able saw horses

Wanted it close to complete in time for the new bike on Wednesday and my bucks/Moto GP weekend is weekend coming.

I'm digging the Holden logo!

Too bad they are stopping production over there in a few years!

Yeah it's a shame Bonecrrusher, cars are a big part of history and culture, it used to be whoever won the V8 races on the weekend would sell the cars on Monday. Most people are die hard Ford or Holden.

Holden lost me in the early 00's, Ford lost me in the 90's.

These days I only like old cars (any make) and fast motorbikes.

The lady has a brand new Mazda and tells me I drive like a grandma, but she wont hop on the back of a bike with me

Done a bit more around the garage to update its working shop capability

I built a bit of a workbench, didn't want a full on one. It's pretty simplistic in design.

On the left I picked up this 12 speed drill for $150 AUD which is very cheap, came with an extra chuck, i put a couple of drawers underneath which holds extra shop vac parts

In the middle I'm still undecided but at the moment it has a slide out drawer just below bench which is holding all my router bits at the moment

On the right just a drop saw bolted down and underneath that i whipped up some shelves to hold my sand paper, always struggled with storing that neatly

The main point was to have it move around easy so heavy duty castors on bottom and will be wiring up emergency stop button and the shop vac properly

Also scored 2 free lockable cabinets which house all other power tools, I got my hands on a master key so one key fits both

On top holding my main car tools and my secondary

Wanted a clearer main workbench, I bought some map drawers which are awesome

And my next sort of project is getting the most out of this Triton work centre, its a table saw and router table with and extenstion table which again I picked up for a song. Having never used one before I've resorted to watching original 1984 VHS recording on youtube which is hilarious

Enad308, I have the Triton 2000 router and table saw. They are pretty good for what I do here.

You may want to convert the video to dvd, they are funny but a handy source of information on how to set them up..

Enjoy..
