So the C10 was not built for a specific customer?
That seems like an over the top build ( I like it ). And your just going to list it on ebay? Interesting.

It's one of the projects that was there way back at the start of this thread. Mark was always building it for himself, that's why I find it odd that he's selling it already, so soon after finishing it. Can't wait to see what's next, after the C2!

Mark did build the C10 for himself but he made the wise choice to sell it. The reason is mentioned in Post 2567:

It [the C10] will be for sale in the next 30 days because the wife says so!!;)

Bob is our official historian:D I haven't read the post to see what I said:) .......OK I just read it and its pretty true. It is absolutely beautiful and nice but I don't need it. I have only put 20 miles on it to and from a show and to the house. I don't enjoy driving them because I have so much money ******* it makes me too nervous. Once I get them done I am ready to move on. I know it sounds weird but I need help!!

Here is the eBay auction.......

We got the 63 back on the frame. It was a little bit of a trick considering the rear valance was bonded to the rear light panel so there was no seams. I am very excited to see it coming together.

I predict that '63 will bring your shop more publicity than anything you've built to date,

Damn Mark!

I am new to this forum and found it by accident the other day so Hey I thought why not post some pics of my build but after seeing your build I am thinking it does need to be much bigger. Thinking the wife will not go for it though.

Great initial project and all that have followed it are impressive! Kudos to you!

That's looking really good!

I am so happy about this car I can't stand it. The paint color (lucky guess) has been a big boost to the build.

He puts so few miles on them that he can prime the calipers. Wink, wink.

Ha Ha. This frame has all the new Corvette C7 components so we had them put on the C7 big brakes as well. Your right though I don't drive them.

The Invos are awesome but they don't hook worth a darn! The vette is coming along nicely!

I got these tires for the look. Probably not the best way to buy a tire but I thought it would fit the build. To me it is more of a european tread design and maybe help this project look more like a super car than a classic.:dunno:

I think it will do us good. I think we have lots of good ideas on it and I am excited to start putting it together. thank you.

I know there is lots of ground to cover but glad you found us. As you can see we have traveled a lot of ground so far going from a garage to a hot rod shop. I am imagine when we get to the ********** part of the transformation we will get a lot more followers.

Hey guys........guess what..........the c10 sold!! It was sold on eBay after only 10 days. It is going to a guy who lives in Minnesota. It was a happy ending to a long project. Although I knew I would sell it when done I had to finish it like I was going to own it forever. I really think it turned out to be one of the nicest c10 builds out there. It was a 6 figure build and I certainly did not return my investment but I was happy with the final selling price.

Here is a picture taken of me with my truck during a photo shoot last month.

I wanted to show off the new 63 Corvette Convertible I just bought. As if it wasn't obvious its a 1970's custom and it has been sitting in a garage for a long long time. Needless to say it needs just a tad bit of work. I bought this to go on the new SRIII C7 frame. We will put the new GM 6.2L LT1 crate motor built for the new C7 Corvette.

Oh that will be one sweet vette, your '63 and the C10 are top notch as well though.
JB

thank you!!!

I took a couple shots of the 63 today. I am striving for an ultra clean engine compartment so we have shorten quite a bit of the wiring harness so it all tucks right up tight on the motor. We are working on a few prototype covers to hide the wires. You will notice them on each side of the intake. These were a quick fabrication exercise but they will open up some ideas for the real thing.

I eliminated the front turn signals. I just thought they were unsightly on my project. I replaced them with some cool HID's with the angle eyes. Man these are bright!!! The turn signals will be LED hidden in the grill.

I just ordered the wheels last week for the 75 Impala we are doing for an NBA player. I haven't posted to much about it because I thought you guys would not be interested. I am having these wheels built by a wheel company by the name of Nutek Wheels. The are 26" and they are about $10,000 for the set. They are built to order and the owner of Nutek has kept me posted on their progress.

We are building a complete new interior for it. All the door panels, dash, rear panels......its all custom built for the owner.

As I said he is a professional ball player so we had to move the front seat back..........

We put a brand new LS3 in it, climate controlled A/C, digital dash, security..........it has all the bells and whistles. It has $2500 worth of subwoofers in it alone!!

Where would you get the idea that we would not be interested. Not my choice of car but already an interesting project.

More updates please

Mark, I believe I speak for most of your fans when I say we'd be interested in seeing a custom toothpick you (and the guys and gals) decide to make in the garage or shop.

You seem to be as busy as a one-armed paper hanger these days so I totally understand if you can't spare the time to photograph, document and post progress every day. Just know that a lot of us get a bit twitchy when we don't hear from you.:willy_nil:Freak::Help:

I too have to agree, show us everything! Custom toothpicks and all. While some of the stuff you build might not be my particular cup of tea I still really enjoy the build aspect and how the details all get handled. Would I ever put a set of $10k 26" wheels on something? Nope, #1 cause I couldn't afford to, but that doesn't mean I don't want to see how something like that goes from a piece of billet, onto a CNC machine, over to you and onto a custom car. Would I ever buy a '75 Impala? Probably not, but after seeing what you do to it, I might actually consider it.

So keep those pics and builds coming, we all subscribe due to the quality of the work and the humbleness of you and your team.

We have another Impala in my garage right now from the same owner that is suppose to even be more intense than this one. There will be about 200 hours in this interior. Did you guys notice the smooth dash board? We built all of the door panels and rear panels too.........wood, fiberglass, and bondo. All those stainless steel screens were press molded which means you build a male and female form out of wood and then use a press to shape the metal. If you follow all the pictures you can see how much time it takes just to build one. All the aluminum trim was then cut to fit the panels. We ended up using the same leather in this car as we did my C10 pickup.

The Impala(s) are not my preferred style of build but I still appreciate the quality of work going into them. Very nice!
