I was perusing craigslist and I saw a P&C toolbox and set of mechanics tools. The tools in the ad looked NEW, and the box was older and looked really cool so I thought it was either a scam or gem. The location was over two hours away, so I made arrangements with the owner via sketchy texts and set out out.
I was a little nervous, although the google mapper showed a nice neighborhood...and it was. I arrived and the owner was a pleasant young guy who told me his dad had passed away and he was selling his tools. I paid him a small fee and loaded them up. Almost all the tools are P&C, and the sets are all almost complete, with only a few wrenches (2) and a ratchet (1/4") missing. Wow! The tools are all in perfect shape, with the exception of the screwdrivers.
I could not believe I scored the box and the tools for $150.
I thought it was a scam. I don't know how many other people like P&C but they are local to Portland, Oregon so they are one of my favorites.
