Has anyone ever lit a shop this size with 25 watt screw in led lightbulbs. Wondering if anyone has plus and minus to doing this. And how many would I need. I am looking at something like this.

This will be a shop and not just a storage shed so there will be work getting done in there and I don't want to have to drag work lights around all the time.

I have a 32'x40' with 16' side walls and looked at lighting it with CFLs as an option. In order to get enough light, I think we calculated I'd need something like 40 lights. When you take into account the cost and complexity of hanging 40 fixtures, it was less expensive to buy some nice T5HO fixtures. I went with six fixtures, each with six bulbs and am very happy.

You want light put up some 6 lamp f54t5ho @ 14' and never look back, t8s work but youll need more and what your suggesting is going to be a lot of medium base sockets not worth it. Buy name brand or youll regret it.

Those bulbs put new meaning to cheap Chinese mystery lamps.
They have no manufacturer or even a lumen output claim.
Just for the fun of it, I'll guess the 25W puts out 50Lm/W, thus 1250lm, so you'd need about 240 of them.

Well I guess you guys answered my question. I don't have a whole lot of experience in lighting/electrical. I don't like working on things I can't see that can get me.
