Did we decide on the best place to buy the 3580 set?
I used tooltopia then a guy posted jet.com had them 8.00 cheaper then 15.00 off for new customers.

I'll just use that 15.00 on another order from jet

I'm seeing $10 off for new members. Where is the $15 off?

I didn't try one. Just saw them.

Sunex has been around for 37 years. I've never seen their stuff in any stores

Is it bad I never go to slickdeals?

It just means that a bunch of people that don't even know what impact sockets are for will be tripping over themselves to order some with visions of making some $$$ in their head.

Looks like Qualitytoolsforless.com is sold out of the 2569 now. Thanks slickdeals
How are they sold out?

They drop ship from sunex.

Their address is a house in Colorado

Alright...maybe stupid question, but $200 are on the line here.

Fine print says "...must provide ORIGINAL receipt". Have printed invoices been accepted?

At least if you read the slickdeals thread it seems like mostly people who will appreciate them. (those that post at least)

Just put in my order for all 3 big sets, from no impact sockets to all of them haha. For ~ $240 how could I not??

I'll need to get an impact driver for the 3/8 though. For half inch I have a sweet IR titanum thanks to my father!

The 1/2" Metric set arrived well with everything in its place but the 3/8" Master set was another story altogether... All came right after a few minutes of sorting though.

It's fantastic to finally have some top-notch sockets at my disposal.

Just ordered myself a 3/8 master set. I'll have to see how it compares to all my other impact sockets.

so, has anybody found a small chest that's big enough to store all 3 sunex kits?

i'd like to find a top chest or a rolling cart with drawers that are big enough to hold the bottom half of the sunex boxes, so i can use the red boxes in the drawers as socket organizers. i'd detach the tops and set them aside.

I've found some husky top chests that unfortunately have drawers that are too shallow top to bottom and front to back.

I thought about doing this as well. The size is a bit awkward for my HF 44" drawers; it'd work but is sort of wasteful. I'm now dabbling with the idea of making wall-mount socket organizers, saving my drawer-space specialty tools. If you come up with something I'd be interesting in seeing it as the boxes are great for keeping the sockets organized.

I had planned on using the case bottoms as well and just laying them in the drawers of on of my HF 44's but being able to fit only one bottom per drawer takes up 3 drawers with a lot of wasted space around them. I will be getting a second set of Hansen trays for the impact sockets and the larger sizes I will either use a socket rail or just stand up.

Am I the only one that thinks they smell like candy? Still can't bring myself to taste them, but it's definitely a sweet smell. Maybe like crushed smarties or something.

Just paid $183.81 at Jet.com for the 3580. Great deal! Now if only qualitytoolsforless will put the 2569 back in stock.

JB has it cheaper than quality tools for less ($134.95): http://www.jbtoolsales.com/sunex-2569-43-pc-complete-metric-1-2-impact-socket-master-set-9mm-30mm/

Edit: Looks like they're out of stock too. On the lower priced item at least. They have a copy item that's priced at $151.95

They had great pricing on the 3580 a couple of days ago on Amazon. I messaged them asking if they would offer that same price on their website. I never got a response, and within ours they increased their price on Amazon. Being that they drop ship from Sunex and there is a rebate, they increased their pricing once Slickdeals got ahold of this deal.

So hard to just pick one... I only have enough in the budget for either 3580 or 2569. I don't need one more then the other. But they both expand my current set.

I wonder if they will be like the old hard handle screwdrivers that make your tongue numb? Those smell like vomit though.

I think it fits pretty well in my HF 44" top box. Enough room left over for some Cornwell sets on the side to bring my 3/8 drive impact sockets up to 24mm.
