That's funny...I called sunex as well last week and the nice lady I talked to said they were being very picky about the rebates this year and if it were her she would get an original receipt to send in. That's what I'm waiting for now. So who knows?

I wonder what recourse we would have if no one go the rebates? I sent my stuff in certified mail with a return card, so I know they got it. I am not at the 8 weeks though. As for being picky, I was told what I sent would be fine, but then I did not get it in writing.

I don't have any complaints about the tools, but I would not have bought everything I did if the rebate was not available.

As far as I am concerned sunex has very few brick and mortar locations that sell the tools, so an email receipt and the original UPCs should be more than adequate.

In Maine they listed one "local" company that sells the tools, that company was about 7 hours from my house. All the other retailers listed were online.

A tool store by me did'nt have the 3580 but showed me Grey Numatic kit for $480.His distributor was out of stock on 3580 ( they never offer this kit to store)but said discount tools was $200+shipping and that it's a deal on that set.He was shaking his head saying man Sunex must be having a special.He was very eager to sell me the $480 kit thinking I needed it that minute.Ive been like a MayTag repair man lately,setting around! Bought and rebuilt an air compressor and jack last month.Think I need another old jack.lol

What is that smell? It's not offensive, but it like nothing you would ever expect metal to smell like.

I bought mine when the deal first came out and sent in the forms within a few days. I have not received my rebate yet and am getting ready to start calling.
Was going to wait a few more days and then get all the info together. Hope this doesn't turn out to be a big pain in the rear.
I thought the idea of rebates is to get people interested in your products so that they will buy more. If I do not get the promised rebate, I will never buy another tool from them.
Hope they are a standup company.

I did the same. Bought it when the deal first came out and submitted within days of my order arriving. Havent heard anything yet. Hopefully in the next couple days or week.

And I am just waiting to get my rebate befor ei buy the 43pc metric master set. But i want to see the first rebate come first

I really want the 3/8" set but I want my rebate first. Then I can send that in and wait for that rebate. I'm also hoping someone runs a labor day sale that will make it a little cheaper.

End of September is 11 weeks and NOT what their own rebate form says (6-8 weeks) for me. Going ot be disappointed in them if that is truly when they send the rebates out. Was going to use the rebate to buy the 2569 (think thats the number) and then use THAT rebate to buy another 3/8 set for my brother. Figured i would be able to get the rebate in time for labor day sales to help out too

Sent them an email over the weekend asking about the status of my rebate to make sure it was sent in properly. Received an email first thing this morning that I should be receiving the rebates sometime in the next two weeks. I believe I sent mine in the second week/weekend of July.
Not too concerned with getting them a week or two late just wanted to make sure they were sent in and received properly.

Update: Rebates received! Only thing I noticed is the cards expire rather soon, In February.

Yes its just a regular mastercard gift/debit card that can be used anywhere in place of a credit/debit card.

I ordered from CPO and from memory submitted the emailed order confirmation showing what I ordered, when I ordered and the price (including 15% discount).
