Thanks for posting the deal OP, I appreciate it. I just received my rebate debit card today, but I am a little unsure how to use it. How do I purchase anything with it if my name/address is not on or associated with the card? Those are required fields on website payment pages. Do I just enter my name and regular billing address anyways when filling out the card info? As you can probably tell, I have never dealt with a prepaid debit card before.

In stores, it swiped like a credit card all but once. There was one time I had to enter the PIN.

I can't remember, but don't they ask for your zip code when you activate these cards? If so, that's all you need for online purchases. So just use your normal billing address. I used one card on Amazon and added $100 to my gift card balance.

Gas pumps authorize your card for $75 if I remember right, then only charge what you use. If you don't have $75 on the card, it won't work.

If you're trying it with a full $100 balance and it's not working, then I don't know what the deal is.

The deal is they don't allow prepay cards at the pump regardless of balance. My card was brand new. The rude lady I called confirmed this. I asked how to use it at the pump after hours and she said flatly, "you can't".

they also prohibit cashback transactions. any cashback results in an automatic denial. otherwise i would have cleaned out my cards on the first day i had them.

Just put 50.00 in the gas tank twice.

Go in and pay and pump exactly 50.00 twice.

Our 25.00 four times.

For me it is 100.00 once. Damn v10

Buyer beware of ordering through Jet.com. You won't get a receipt and therefore cannot get the rebate. Here's my email to Jet and their reply:

Ordered the Sunex sockets reflected in the order # in the subject line above. Sunex has a rebate for said sockets but they require an original receipt. No receipt in the box. No receipt emailed to me from Farm & City Supply. If I can't have an original receipt, I'll be returning the sockets and ordering them from somewhere else.
Thanks,
XXXX

Hello XXXX.

Thank you for your email regarding the Sunex sockets and not having the original receipt for the rebate.

I can certainly understand your desire to have the original receipt from the sale of the item. Regrettably, we are unable to request a receipt directly from the fulfillment partner as they have not provided us the ability to do so.

Perhaps you can use the email we sent to you for the original confirmation of the order and details. That is the only proof of purchase we can provide. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Should you wish to return your item, we will gladly accept the iem back and issue a refund.

Please let me know should you have any additional questions.

Kindest Regards,

Chris L. | Jet Head

So, I've printed the return label and will haul these off to a Fed-ex location this afternoon.

If you want the rebate, don't order from Jet.

Every time I had cents left on prepaid cards I just applied it towards my cell phone bill using the automated phone payment system.

I wouldn't be such a skeptic about using the order confirmation from Jet. You ordered from them, not from farmandsupply.com so I don't see an issue. I've completed rebates for numerous items that were bought on Amazon, ebay, and non-listed retailers and had no issues. Before returning, I would get in contact with Sunex.

Anyone know if there is a way to convert the card to cash, so that I can avoid the inevitable hassles that have been pointed out in this thread.

Can pay yourself through square or something of the sort, they'll take a fee off the top though (2-5% usually). Used to be able to use amazon payments for no fee, they cut off person to person payments last year though.

Anyone know if venmo works? The new payment program for sending money for free.
I could get my brother to send it to my venmo account, and then just transfer to my bank account.

Don't think it will work. You can try adding it, supposedly they tell you beforehand if they're going to charge you a fee. Not sure what they consider "non-major", and not sure what bank issues the debit card for this rebate. They have a list of banks: https://venmo.com/about/fees/

No idea if this works with prepaids however. They seem to be referencing actual debit cards.

"To help cover processing costs, there is a 3% fee per payment for credit cards and non-major debit cards."

Getting the last few dollars can be. Easy to spend $96.78 on groceries. Difficult to remember to pull the card out when you have a purchase less than $3.22. Anywhere where they preauthorize a certain ammount (bars, gas stations, etc.) you will be denied. It's embarrassing and just a pain. I'd rather get all the money out and into my account and not have to worry about how much cash is on each card.

I know some places like Target, will just pull the remaining balance off the card and you don't have to remember how much is on it. Depends on the checkout system.

Is it really that hard to use even numbers and just buy gas 2-3 times?

Yeah, you have to have enough on the card to use it for the total purchase though. Paypal doesn't let you use multiple sources for funds if the gift card doesn't have enough I think.

From their website: "Add your prepaid gift cards to your PayPal wallet during checkout as you add a new debit or credit card, and choose a prepaid card that has enough balance to cover the total amount to pay. It’s that simple!"

You can add any amount to your Amazon account. You can either reload or purchase a new E-Gift card, set the remaining amount of the gift card, and send it to yourself to be applied to your account.

You just need to add the prepaid debit card to your account as a form of payment. Just use your regular billing address.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. Earlier in the thread there was indication that Sunex would be very particular about "original" receipts. I called Sunex and was referred to Crystal, the supervisor. Crystal assured me that they'd take a print of the email acknowledging the order from Jet as the "original" receipt and so long as I filled out the rebate form and included the UPC from the box that Sunex would process the rebate.
Sunex has been great on this and Jet was at least responsive and willing to take the purchase back. I'll be doing lots more business with Sunex and while I'm not afraid to do business with Jet they won't be my first or even second choice.

JBToolSales has the 1/2" Metric 2569 set back in stock at the $137.95 price. Showing 30 in-stock when I just now placed an order for a set.

I'm still hoping I can get a 3580 set. Have to see whether the budget will have room for it closer to the end of the month.

Glad some of you guys could snag them at the lower price again. I've been waiting for it to come back in stock for a while and was worried the SD posting was going to keep that from happening.

I just received all three socket sets - ordered from Amazon and CPO. Filling out rebate forms now.
Odd issue, on the 3580 set they left out the 1/2 swivel socket and gave me two 9/16 ones. I'm going to call them and see if they can just send me the one socket. CPO said they can do return / replace of whole set but that seems like a waste of shipping for a single socket.

My cases all came in perfect shape and most of the sockets seem to stay in them pretty well.

Just received these as well. Really impressed. For the price, I think this is one of the best "available to anyone" values going.

Can get some sets pretty cheap on ebay if you use that $20 off $100 eBay motors coupon, if it's available to you.

I wasn't to worried I wouldn't get one. Rather I wanted to save the ~13 bucks or so from the next vendor that had them in stock.

My dad will be happy. He's been helping my brother and found his socket sets to be rather lacking. He had all the sockets he needed for his Harley but not nearly enough for anything else. Last time we were working we needed a 7/8ths and he was annoyed with himself for not having one. Ran to the store and picked them up even after we made the metric equivalent work. SO having this set will be nice for him. And he can finally use the impact gun he bought years ago and never used cause he never had impact sockets lol

So got my 3/8 master set today. It was a complete disaster when I opened it up like many. But for what will end up being $100 I can't see how anyone that might ever use these isn't jumping
On it.

Just got my 3580 set in today. Super fast shipping. I ordered it on the 19th. I guess it helps I'm only one state away.

Holy Moly what a deal! This set is pretty nice. I'm seriously thinking about getting the 2569 1/2 Master Set from JBTools. It'll be $37.** after the rebate. Don't think I can quite swing the SAE set this time around though. That would be $72.** after rebate.

Gotta say, this has been an outstanding deal.
