Finally got my hammers and a few add on tools. Everything pictured was $22. My $5 mac pliers that were cancelled are on the way. They gave me a warranty pair of the newer model for my troubles and I didn't even ask so I should have 2 more pair on the way.
How do you like these ?

Willams 3/8" Metric 6pt socket set. Only thing I dislike is that 21mm is skipped, and not available through Williams. Otherwise, they are almost identical to my Snap-on sockets. Not too shabby for around $111 delivered via toolsdelivered.com

I really like the new Williams logo they're now rolling into the USA sockets. Much nicer than the old basic typed WILLIAMS (I have one of the new logos in my 3/8" SAE set, the rest being old style).

Bad enough that I will probably end up with it sooner or later. Not that I will ever use 21mm in 3/8" drive, but I might, and that is enough for me.

I was near downtown today after work so I stopped by the Sears parts store to see if they had anything. Most of it was power tools or newer stuff made in China, but I found this underneath some other tool sets.
Now it may not look like much but I'm a younger guy(21) so USA made craftsman tools were mostly before my time so it is a real gem for me to stumble across this.
The ratchets are "VT" series
The sockets are "G" series
Extensions and hex keys "H" series
The double open end wrenches "VV" series
And the best part is it was on clearance for $40!

I haven't used it yet..I thought it looked like a more comfortable design. They had them on clearance for $2.47 so I figured why not. I was also intrigued that they are made in Japan.
Do you use yours much?

Picked up some things from the Lowe's sale. Everything in the first picture for $20! The wobble 3/8" is a Husky I found loose at HD. I'm not too impressed with the action of the locking extensions. The long 1/4" one does not seem to be well-made. It only locks on sometimes and the release button gets jammed up. Will try and trade in, but they are likely all gone by now! Oh well, what can I say for $1.25? The other two locking extensions seem to work fine.

The impact mechanism in the nose grenades. I blew mine apart in about 4 months of basic use. Apparently its a pretty common issue if you let it hammer a lot. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see a revision with a fatter impact housing in the future.

Taking a chance on the MAC closeout pliers. I could use some longer reach ones. At that price, it's worth putting in the order just in the off chance it will get filled. Out of all the truck brands, MAC's offerings tend to be the most aesthetically pleasing of the bunch. Lol.

I think the source of the ratchet and sockets is Danaher. Makes them the same, more or less, as Armstrong.
Nice find. I saw a set of 1/2" Metric USA sockets in my local Sears recently. I didn't need them. Probably old stock as well.
Decided to compile all the stuff I have bought since the last time I posted in this thread (prior to yesterday). As you can see most has already been used and abused. But here it is anyway. Those push pin pliers are probably one of the best tools I have ever bought btw. Highly recommend if you work on vehicles for a living.

Tool for setting valve lash on diesel engines and other engines.
Has a socket run by the handles to loosen the jam nut and a screw driver in the center to adjust the clearance.
