New box....Before & After

I didn't REALLY need a new box BUT I got such a good price I said "What da heck!"

Actually I'd been wanting to try one of these Harbor Freight boxes everyone's been going ga-ga over so when I saw this in the store last week (it was in the back) I thought "Hmmmmmmm"

The box was marked $185.98 (not bad) but I figured they could do a little better if they wanted it out of their way.
There's not a thing wrong with it except there are no side handles (which for where I intended to use it, I didn't need them) so I asked one of the employees if I could speak to a manager.....
The manager said the best she could do was $159.98 (a little better) but after a few minutes of haggering (sp) (and a little flirting ) by the time we got to the register we were down to $154.98 PLUS a free mini flashlight! (I'll take it!)
I saved so much money I treated myself to three .39 cent snap blade razor knives.....


I extremely impressed with the quality of this box.....the roller slides are super smooth and it's definitely RED!

Where I put the box, the shelf above wouldn't let the lid open far enough to release the drawer locks.....so I knocked out the pins and then re-pinned them up just enough to clear.....


My main box is a Matco box I got about 15 yrs ago and when I got it I decorated it with a Chevy 2500 (3/4 ton) emblem....


But since this box is not as heavy duty I just put a Chevy 1500 (1/2 ton) emblem on it! ....


I mounted my torx screwdrivers on one side

Sometimes a mans got to do what a mans got to do.....nice box for the price! Filled up that space real good. Nice mod on those PIA lock bars.
