Stand there, don't move, and phone up corporate. Hold up the line. Too late now though, you just screwed yourself out of a good penny deal.

Some employee probably already took it home and has it on Craigslist

You should know the drill by now. I have HD customer care, Lowes customer care, and Lowes executive customer service in my contact list

He is right call corporate 1 (800) 466-3337

Sad part.. my uncle used to work at HD and said they actually do toss it. He said he couldnt believe all the stuff that went into a garbage container.

I have a neighbor that works for HD. He drives a truck. He drives around the city picking up items taken out of HD inventory. He take them to a warehouse where the are gathered to donate.

Found this for a penny today, I scan the upc and not the clearance tag. The same store told me they not allowed to sell penny yet written on it 1c.

I like going to HD about 8ish PM Pacific Standard Time..if I run into this problem, is corporate/customer care taking calls at that time of night?

I am not sure about that time. I know they start at 12 noon on Sunday's. But the recording on the line will tell you their hours. I think you must hit #7 and listen for good or negative feed back. When you get to that area some one will answer. It usually takes 10 minutes or so. I let the MOD know I am calling corporate. Good luck

Anyone know for sure if these Garden Club email coupons work for pellets or outdoor power equipment?

$5 off $50 or $10 off $100 purchase in Lawn and Garden

I keep getting them but haven't actually used one yet.

Anyone know if the Pfister Canton faucets have gone to a penny yet?

Also, the energizer cap lights that were $3.83 I think it was?

Anyone know if the forum could support a Wiki? It would be great to have one spot to track prices and not sort through posts. Also nice to look at while in store too

Does that work for online purchases? I'm going to buy a 2 Pack of Ridigd angle grinders soon (online only) and if I can get another $10 or so back that would be awesome!

Nevermind. Found it in the small Print. In store purchases only!

I see 2 online:

R1007 for $79
R10071 for $79

Not sure if there's even any difference.

I think some of the stores around here have 1 or 2 of these left (not sure which model), but they're down to $59 in store.. you may have to look around at different stores though since they are disappearing

SPN, use your IT genius and make us a price tracking wiki in your spare time.

Its not fun if its not automated!

I hate that HD doesnt show accurate in-store pricing on the website (for one reason or another)

But if they did, it would make "the chase" not as fun.

Not sure, but I would think you could make a valid case for them to apply it. Btw, I do have a one-time use $25 off $100 Lawn and Garden coupon that expires today if anyone needs it. I haven't used it at HD but I did get Lowe's to match it on Saturday.

I know this was discussed a month or so ago and didn't get anywhere but...

Even if we had a spreadsheet or something similar on a shared app that everyone could use on their smartphone and modify with their findings.

I think that might be a tuff endeavor since there seems to be discrepancies across the stores on pricing.

mswol, I don't know anything about that stuff, but wouldn't you have to somehow link your scanner to their database to be able to do that (to see "discount" pricing that is)? I know there are barcode scanner phone apps for instance, but I *think* they work off looking at the generic bar code and matching that with whats on the interwebs, so they would show "web" pricing. But then again, even if you could link to a stores/multiple stores database, I think you would run into price/clearance variances between stores.

I know, I know..........party pooper.

Agreed.. All HD scanners phone home/talk to a main hub in store.. like a cordless phone set. I would just be looking to add another handset to the hub...

Got ya.

I wonder if they would let you borrow a scanner.....like they would if you are making a wedding registry for instance.......I mean if you "scheduled your wedding out two years" you would need to/should update that registry constantly right???????

Its an interesting question....what DO their scanners use to communicate throughout the store?

Is it just a secure wifi setup?

What I "envisioned" was having a line for SKU/product, then follow on lines for locations/prices.

EDIT,

Probably have a "Date Logged", and maybe a "Sticker Date" column as well.

I tried to send you mine, not sure if it went through or not. I was going to test on my phone.

Ahh, I see. I really like your idea, that would take care of the people "updating" the price I was thinking about.

What about a sticker price vs paid price column (excluding any additional discounts, ex. 10% off for floor model, etc.). So say clearance sticker says $9.73 with a date of 1/1/15, but the item actually rang up on 10/7/15 at $0.01.

*I might be thinking too hard.

When are you bringing me my $132.00 Husky toolbox? :)

I envision something similar, except hosted as a website somewhere so people can submit their findings in real time

What I picture as well. I don't know enough about hosting stuff, hence why I was thinking something like a google spreadsheet or something everyone has access to and can update.

I agree... I've done some wiki projects in the past and could put something together. Should probably split this discussion off of the "deals" thread. Those interested in contributing, please PM me.

Score:bounce: Went to the south Nashua,NH Home Depot and found a 41" tool chest! Paid $118 after military discount. There was another but I don't need 2.

In the pine brook, nj store. They have the in color boxes on the floor at the full price. They do have the black and white boxes in the rafters with the same sku with a piece of paper that states 10/2/15 and 3rd quarter.

There has been some conjecture that the black and white boxes are the clearance, and the color boxes are the new version. I inquuired with a sales associate and she said the black and white boxes are the shipping boxes that the color boxes come in...

If the color of the boxes mattered, the SKU would be different between the in-color and black+white boxes. If you can check the SKU on each, you can tell if they will be all on clearance or none on clearance.

Judging from the stores in my area, if you go on the HD website for the 41" Husky box and attempt to "change your pick up store", the only stores that will have it any less than $498 will be the ones that say "not available" or "see in store for availability", much like how most of the in-store-only clearanced stuff seems to work vs the website.

Is this legit? No dollar limit? I need ~600.00 worth of tile, mortar, waterproofing, and a toilet. Will this work with that?

All the details are in the link, this is matching Mernards. This is not the first week this has been offered. Takes about 2 months for rebate. I am not aware of anyone not getting approved. I am not near a Mernads.
