I bought this box more than 30 years ago for only $100.00. Along with it came a set of SnapOn socket end wrenches, a couple of MAC Ratchets and Several assorted wrenches and sockets.

Can anyone help me identify the box, and does anyone know where i can get a missing clip for the slide in the picture?

Thanks

That looks like the same type of clips that Sears uses, or at least used to use. I've ordered them from Sears before for a Mac intermediate box I have.

Call Waterloo, in Waterloo Iowa, they'll have the clips. Cheaper than Sears and being the OEM I've never had a backorder problem

Get the "little black slide clips" from waterloo. Not sure on the model number off the top of my head, should be stamped on back or side.

There are two styles of that clip from what I remember, so you'd better send Waterloo a photo of them to be sure. I want to say M3163 is the part number on one of the styles.

There's a long and short style from what I remember. There are guys that sell them on Ebay too from what I recall seeing.

OP: You could also call MAC and perhaps they will just send you a few. I did that with a middle Matco box I bought and they sent a bunch at no charge.

Here's a little follow-up. I sent an email to Mac, and got a prompt reply. They would be happy to sell me the missing clip for $3.99. The only problem is that they are sold in packs of 10.

I got a small scrap of metal from work, and made the clip in about 5 minutes.

No thank-you. Mac.
