Took a three day weekend... On Friday, I ran my 1/2" copper lines in my attic... I have 2 HF hose reels (hanging from the ceiling), and one hook-up along the front wall..... On Saturday, I did the rear brakes on the wife deville and bled out the old dot 3 oil... Today, I changed the wife spark plugs... All I need to do is change the fuel filter and it should be good for a while...

Tried out my home made powder coat box. It worked very well, with the filters doubled up:

I also cut a fender to make it more compact for my XS400 scrambler build:

Needs a bit of work still, but not bad.

Not much exciting over the weekend. Put the Jeep on the lift and gave her a once over and then ******* a few loose ends in the shop. I had a couple of small jobs to complete and was able to clear off my benches off.

Got some more dis-assembly done on the rear shock and laid all the components out on the bench. Ordered a rebuild kit for it and some replacements parts.

I had a couple of drawers that I salvaged from a tool cart that died so I hung them from the shelf inside one of my metal cabinets.

The lid switch broke on our washing machine so I took it apart and replaced that. Then I finished resorting this vise. I finished about 10 min before my client showed up to pick it up.

I also ran 1/2" air line up in my attic, cept i used black pipe, which i previously had feeding a hose reel as well about in the middle of my 60 foot long building, I T'ed off where the reel was then continued the run, then down the wall and over to a corner, where i have a waste oil heater, all went well with no leaks.I also got the wiring done for the heater and the chimney up. Just need to plumb in a air press reg for the heater, and ill be ready for a test fire!

Worked on my 70 Olds 442 W-30 putting in electrical wiring for electric in tank fuel pump, finished installing the gas tank and started changing the distributor. Practiced MIG welding for about two hours preparing to weld by 4-link rear end in my 62 Ford F-100 pickup. Organized nuts and bolts. Overall good day.

Finally, had the time to start modifying the Harbor Freight motorcycle lift table that I bought a month a half ago.

It can now be 42" wide in just a couple of minutes, will be great when working on a four wheeler, more mods to do before I cut the floor and drop it in !

Not IN the garage, but I grabbed tools FROM the garage to fix the sliding glass door. Replaced the weather stripping and replaced the wheels, handle and lock. Slides like it's brand new again.

Since the washing machine is in the garage, I guess fixing it counts. Replaced the drain pump on a Whirlpool Duet. Looks like the pump o-ring seal failed causing motor failure.

Last night I blew the sprinkler system out and then machined three bungs for my drill chuck rack on my lathe. The .125" aluminum plate I have bolted to the side of the backsplash on the lathe doesn't provide a deep enough recess for the drill chucks and live end to sit in at the proper angle, they droop. I machined three spacers and then welded them on the backside of the plate to give the drill chucks/live center enough to hold them at the same angle as the plate and more importantly, make them a little easier to remove where they won't catch in the recess between the arbon and the drill chuck head. It sucked having to move the drill chuck around and find the exact spot where I could remove the chuck from the holder. Now it is nice and smooth. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures.

Got two of these newspaper boxes for free from a church last month. Used the better one for my cats bunk beds. We had a cardboard box in the garage, but one of them used to sleep on top of it anyway.

Outside the garage, polished up the yellowing headlight tops and plastic covers over the roof mounted spots on the new car with some cutting compound, look much better now. Might do the rear brake pads and fit the new set of caliper slider pins that the seller thoughtfully had bought and left in there for me tomorrow.

A blown 261? Awesome

Is that the smaller, 471 blower?

It's a 235 and the blower is a 4-71. The kit was engineered by James Larrowe of JJ Inlines up in your neck of the woods. He casts the two piece blower manifold (a thing of beauty) and subs some of the work to other vendors (the blower work was done by The Blower Shop.

Been busy outdoors getting ready for winter.. closed the pool on Sunday, did final trim on the bushes tonight, cleaned inside the VW and washed the windows..

Over the weekend, we also discovered the run/start solenoid on the Freon compressor of the kegerator was done in.. so ordered parts after looking locally for them. Hope to have it back in service for the weekend..

Finished up the freezer door restraint strap for our newly installed residential refrigerator in our coach.

Then reorganized a few things in the shop and wiped down benches. Son got home and sat around and BS'd with him for a bit. Great afternoon.

I welded up a quick pair of brackets made out of unistrut to mount my air dryer and filters. Don't look too closely at the welds, I never claimed to be a pro.

Moved Shop Fox 9x49 mill and 60 gallon compressor to the new shop with help from local lumber yard and their fork lift and operator. That's twice they've helped me and are officially at the top of my vendor list! If they don't have it I'll have them order it. Did I mention they refused any payment? Either time. Today we
'll move the Summit lathe, with help from a couple friends, and the shop will soon be operational. It's really a machine shop and belongs in a different forum but I've learned and enjoyed this group so much I had to share:)

Edit: I also plumbed the mast of the jib crane and hooked up the 12x36 lathe so all it needs is leveling.

I don't think it was so much the paint as it was the shop not listening to me when I said they HAVE to wash off the water based rust inhibitor that was sprayed on after getting it sandblasted to reduce rust flashing before primer and paint.

I also don't think they used primer. Since it was done free as a favor I cant ask for my money back.

Hey, I'm no expert but if that stuff is galvanized, clean that **** off before you weld, you'll get better welds and won't be inhaling those zinc vapors either.
