Advance carries Milton because after owning Carquest for years they decided to merge the stores. Actually unless it's privately owned you won't see a carquest to the best of my knowledge. Almost everything the stores sell will be the same, most of it was anyways but now even the same boxes. I think the big difference is the filters, Baldwin and whatever advance sells. Carquest is now starting to get gear wrench in but honestly I don't it's any different from the generic brand carquest already sold. But private stores sell whatever they want usually, within reason anyways. Ours sell SK tools as well.

Got a couple Hazet shirts, their oetiker clamp crimp tool (I have the Lisle pliers and hate them), and I finally got the SOEXLMs.

On an aside if anyone is interested in a new Hazet shirt I have 2 brand new large to re-sell ($35 shipped or $65 for both and im not making a dime). I bought L and XL not knowing which would fit and found im too fat for the L. Should fit someone in the 160-170lb range quite well. Made in Germany.

@Skin, where are you ordering all that hazet stuff from?

Those "super crapers" are really nice looking.

More importantly they work awesome. Its a night and day difference cleaning liquid gasket applications off with it compared to a standard steel scraper. Really saves the aluminum surface.

65 bucks from the matco guy. I'm sure I could find it cheaper but it was already in my hands.

I get larger tips for mine from my snap on guy. He stocks them. It fits fine, and is much better then the tiny tips PP gives you. Great soldering iron, you will love it. Remember it doubles as a torch if you unscrew the iron end. Great for heat shrink.

I like those super scrapers! I might have to pick some up.

I bought a Snap-on TRLL72 today. I've had the other two for a while, they're just in the photo for comparison.

Ok. Someone fill in the rest of us on the super scrapers. I'm curious. How do they work on say a t-case to trans gasket?

They work great, or I'll say super, for me on anything I've used them on. They are tough. I've used my first one for years, even on caliper brackets, and it has not dulled or disfigured at all.

Now, they will not do miracles for those tough stuck on cardboard gaskets that seem to be permanently bonded to the surface. I use a small ball been hammer and DELICATELY tap those gaskets, and they just break loose, then scrape away.

Did a little side job for a guy. Told him $20 bucks would be good and he offered me a small tool out of his box instead. So I took a 20mm MATCO wrench he had.
I had a 20 before and never used it so I sold it. I guess this was a way for me to re cooperate another 20mm I'll never use haha

Thanks guys. 90zcar was poking at me a couple pages back about my plan to buy a 20mm ratcheting Gearwrench. I was just poking him back.

Haha thanks iScream......I guess getting one for free and having it sitting in the drawer makes me feel better than the 40 some dollar snap on one I bought a couple years ago and realized it was a dumb overpriced purchase....at least I sold it and got most of my money back

Not my first choice. But he was there and bailed me out. I need a 9/16 stubby.

$40 would be enough to bother me. I've been getting most of my Gearwrench reversibles through Sears with points or Advance Auto with coupons. Not free but if it sits we're only talking about $10. ;)

Scored a bunch of safety deposit boxes off craigslist for all of my small parts / nuts and bolt storage. Got all 3 units for $20 a piece off of a retired locksmith. No doors or locks as he was saying the tumblers alone go for $50 a piece and each door has two! They are built like a brick **** house by Kumahira safe co in Japan so they should last!
