You need to buy it asap, those are awesome and for only $35 you can't go wrong.

Yes, a hydraulic ram would be mounted on top of the tower, the ram would go down and press on the piece your working on between the four posts. you would have tooling underneath holding the piece. Don't think it would be too hard to install another ram.

It would make for a good tool cart without the ram.

Eh... Idk. Isn't it basically just a press stand? I have a press already. And I don't do much body work. That one definitely does look sweet all refinished. I'll let someone else snag this deal, not in my interest currently. If it had all those accessories with it I'd be all over it.

Good morning, These are not bad drill presses, it's a "Craftsman Commercial" for $100 and if you feel lazy it can show up to your front door for an extra $25.

I believe these have 8 speeds. The table looks really good nor does it have any holes in it so it doesn't look abused which could mean the arbor & bearings are probably still good. Not a bad deal and doubt it will last the day, so jump on it if you need a cheap drill press.

That's a good deal for one of those if it's working well (good bearings), those usually sell for much more, they're bigger and more powerful than they look.

The welding tanks are a good deal if you can get all the welding rods & 40 feet of High Strength Silver Solder with it.

Not surprised it went so quickly, lots of compressors come and go on craigslist but that one was super nice for the price.


The 3 phase isn't really a problem, you can get a phase convertor for it albeit for $150 for a 5 HP motor, there fairly easy to buy & install.


The seller is also on eBay and is currently selling some very beautiful german made Heidelberg printing presses.

Interesting Vise and Famco Drill Press.

This guy is selling several pieces. Famco 15" drill press's are actually nice vintage drill press's. There heavy, It says bench model but someone just lowered the head to make it bench height, the base on that one is the same as a floor model. It's been on the market for a while and keeps lowering the price. I say offer him $100. If you did a paint job it would look really nice once finished. It's probably a Model #82.

The vise is not marked but I bet it's a American Scale vise. The rear jaw swivels left to right and still has the locking pin, only problem one of the through holes on the base is broken but still probably usable with a washer. it's a nice vise if the the jaws line up and the backlash isn't too bad.

Offer him $150 for the two. That wouldn't be too bad.

That thing is a monster. Yes it's a good deal as I bet he'll come down some on price but that's only for serious players with industrial needs. It makes my arms sore just thinking about holding something big enough to warrant using such a large grinder. Plus you need to know what your doing as that could easily hurt you if something goes wrong.

Rather than listing something for the price that they would like to get but don't have to get, people list it at a price that you go a dollar under and they get personally offended.

I was always taught, have a price in mind, list above that and come down. I can't understand getting upset over an offer. You don't have to take it.

I find that my 44" feels structurally good, but the casters are terrible, and I do not like the way the detents work to keep the drawers closed at all. Even loaded up I really have to push the drawers in to get them to catch. Any time I've tried to "lock" it and move it around half the drawers slide open because they weren't far enough back.

I'm thinking of keeping the 44" as mass storage and getting another box to keep neat and tidy with just a few ratchets, one of each set of sockets, a single set of SAE and Metric wrenches and that sort of thing.

I know what you mean. I have properties in west FL and I am constantly amazed at the prices there that people ask for selling junk tools on craigslist and they don't really like to negotiate.

In So Cal. prices are much, much better and you will get opportunities to bargain on some awesome high quality stuff but generally I'm less likely to bargain here as I feel like I'm already stealing it because the price is already so low. You have a couple guys who state price is firm and the price is high and those items are easy to identify because they stay on craigslist for months, some I see still trying to be sold for over a year. Specially a guy in Bell Gardens and in Chino Hills.

It's hard to say as I have only touched a couple of different Proto's from various years and I don't know how good of condition this proto is in. I would say it's generally better than HF due to the fact it was made in the USA. The ball bearing sliders will also be better than HF. I would safely say the quality is between Snap-On and HF.

For $250, it's cheaper than a brand new 26" wide HF tool chest so it would be hard to go wrong if this box passes inspection.

I will say I prefer moving a 26" around much more than a 44", that's for sure.

Go check it out and ask how he feels about coming down on price as your on the fence?

I'm with Macgee, this is better than the HF (which is no slouch) and USA made, so $250 isn't terrible. In the SF Bay Area it would be gone quickly at $200, and $250...well, that's where people start thinking twice, anything over $200.

Also in agreement with Macgee, $250 is a good deal but if you can get him to $200 then you'll really be sitting pretty.

It's been up there 5 days already, show up with cash and if the box passes inspection (it should), rub the back of your neck and with a slightly pained expression mention that well, it's not _quite_ what you expected, but would $200 be ok?

Be sure to fan yourself with the $20s as you say it. Afterward you can post pics here once you get it and we'll tell you how much you ****.
