While working at Lowes, when someone would steal our Lincoln mig display (Lincoln 140 & 180)
I would buy the parts that were not placed on shelf with display.

I have these NEW items
3-Ground clamps with ground cable
2-Regulators for argon bottles
2-mig guns with leads

I know everyone says that the value is what someone is willing to pay for it.

Getting ready to put them for sale but not sure where to start on my pricing. Don't want to give them away, on the same note I do want to get rid of them.

How did they pull off stealing that?:headscrat

They would steal 4-7 a year just from our store
One way was they would just pick it up and walk out the door.

Another way was to put it in a cart, then cover it with a material that was the same color as the cart. With the cover over product, the cart would appear empty. Then just push it straight out the door

Just look them up on ebay sold then adjust for a local sale. Realize those are budget machines and thus use budget components.

I would be interested in a regulator. A friend of mine borrowed my Lincoln and returned it but forgot the regulator was still on his argon bottle.

Ground clamps aren't worth hardly anything. The shielding gas gauges $15-20. MIG guns are hard to sell, you have to find someone whose gun broke (hardly ever happens) but if they do, maybe $40.

I might be interested in the mig gun, and reg. for spares.. if it fit my machine..

what are the part #'s and I'll see if they'll work.. I'm sure the gas reg will, but the gun, might not..
part # and liner size..
you can p.m. me so this doesn't cause issues..

So this explains the deal I got a couple of years ago at HD.

I walked by the sale shelf one night, there was a Lincoln 135HD with a TON of extra stuff with it, 2 gauge sets/regulators, multiple ground clamps, tips, shields, carts, etc. I thought maybe they were just clearing out a model. I paid $220 for everything.

Now I get it, it was all of the left overs from the shop lifters...

At least he's trying to price stuff fairly.

I recall looking at the Clearance "Scratch & Dent" at a Sears store many years ago. They had a set of billiard balls with 2 missing marked down from $75 to $70. Let's do the math:

6% off
Missing 12.5% of balls
What a bargain!!!

we did this with the chains.....good size ones...and they just cut them. so then we locked up the bolt cutters and they unbolted enough of the item to get the chain off.
only thing that would stop it is permanently defacing the item....for example an air compressor drill a 2 inch hole in the tank in plain site.....but the companies don't count displays as just displays so this would be a loss on the store for that item.
you'd be amazed at the sneakiness of these people.
When I was opening a new store putting racks together there was a guy walking around with a 800 dollar sliding miter saw and a bunch of new looking cordless tools. he was shooting the **** with other people but no one had on aprons as the store was not open and lots of new faces. I watched him for awhile and realized he was just cutting wood into little pieces and not actually building anything. he was escorted out. all tools were the displays and product. he had just walked in like he belonged there and was hanging out for an hour so no one would question him walking out with the tools.
