KR557 & KR537 | Limited Edition Panel -- Picture Requests

Hi All,

My late father had a limited edition KR557 (bottom) and KR537(top) snap-on toolbox. It was lost in an estate sale and sold when I was young. I've been trying to track down a replica to have in my own garage now.

I searched all the vintage forums regarding these models and could not find a picture of what I was looking for. So I thought it would be cool to start a thread where members could post pictures of all the limed edition decals that were available over the years.

Is there a Chevrolet 4x4 "Truck" Panel?

Now, I remember the panel having a 4x4 truck on the front of it. From memory I remember it having it two limited edition panels with custom decals -- one on the KR557 and one on the KR537 with decals of an 80's lifted "Chevrolet"

I've seen the Ford 4x4 limited edition panel and I am 100% certain this is not the toolbox I remember. My father was a Chevrolet man through and through...

If you have a limited edition KR557 & KR537 Please post up pictures of your panels.

Here are some I found Online.

Sounds like a good idea... Did your dad have a project car or favorite car? Do you have a picture of him with that car?
If so have a vynal graphic made with that picture and make your own box that is a special edition to your dad

I have the same combo, "Pride of America" Edition. No trucks, but its got an Eagle on it, and "Pride of America" raised lettering. Pics of it are in my resto thread.

I have the "Mike & Joe" stock car version- I'm sure I could pull the cheesy graphic off, but I kind of like the character it adds to the shop. Bought it at an estate sale of a gent that rebuilt transmissions at Allison Transmission here in Indy. Based on the tools and junk that was in it, I assume he bought it new. Here's a few photos when I drug it in the shop.

I recognize my 537 with the geese in the OP's post.

I replaced that piece with stainless steel and am happy with how it turned out. Still have the original piece with the geese. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Just park that next to a stainless finish refrigerator. :lol_hitti
