Lost my knife in some ceiling at work so stopped in to grab a new one and walked out with some small Klein screw drivers for setting dip switches on some clocks I have been hanging. 5b51cf283eb4c2b22cadc76bc5495871.jpg

DCF899 Brushless.
Little bit disappointed its not assembled in USA, but rather made in China but par for the course with cordless I guess. Either its going to be made in China and shipped for assembly or just made in China. Charger made in China and batteries Korea for anyone that cares.

Impact is nice, and shorter than what its probably going to replace. Comparative to the 8850

Pro: Substantially shorter
Batteries are much easier to remove
Light down at the battery illuminates more work area
5Ah Batteries
Trigger feels good and its easy to feather
Charger can do both 20V and 12V MAX line.
Balance is slightly better

Neutral: Weight is about the same

Negative: Light lights up more area but is much dimmer around the actual working area immediately in front of the impact. In short it could be more focused.
Switch stops for the preset torque modes feels a little on the cheap side.
No boots for MAC or DeWalt cordless line up. Someone needs to get on this plus its a missed revenue opportunity. MAC has some $500-$600 impacts now and even this DCF899 is about $425-$450 street at the moment. Im contemplating wrapping it in self sticking (non-adhesive) tape.

Saw these things in the Hazet catalog then found them in the states under the Mueller-Kueps brand. Its a big scouring pad for rotor hats and the insides of wheels where they rest against the hat. Great idea for a tool since its an area that corrodes like crazy, especially if your wheels are aluminum. They make smaller deeper ones for cleaning the area on the hub around vehicle lugs also. Now instead of ruining tiny pricey 3M scotchbrite pads I can ruin one giant super expensive pad!

Picked up a my first snap on flex head ratchet (been a matco guy due to previous dealers) some new pliers and my big indexing pry bar, also not pictured but I picked up the 3 piece indexing snap on pry bars too, new favorite tools there. also got the little IR 3/8 gun for $40 from the snap on trade in bin! Told the guy 10 bucks if it doesn't work, he said 40 if it does, went in and ripped off a 15/16ths nut and bolt no problem, happy camper here!

also does anyone know how to identify IR models of guns without tags, eventually wanna rebuild this lil guy

Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi ZRP320 ONE Plus 18V Cordless Lithium-Ion 2 in. Brad Nailer. Def used, but for $65+$7.99 shipping I cant complain too much from saving almost half. This thing cant shoot those brads deeeep. I'm happy.
*Pics Coming*

Now the fun one: Gearwrench 20PC Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set SAE/MM and a Craftsman 4 Pc. Accessory Set, 1/4 in. Dr. (to put me over the $50 mark)

Order placed from shopyourway through Sears..........Cluster *u*k!!! Placed order Sat, I had Surprise point ($20 back for spending $50). Went to check out, all was well, I'm not in a hurry to get the items so I chose Free Shipping (**Not free two day shipping with MAX**), Continue, make sure the points are applied, look over my order one more time, hit the Place Order Now button............thinking, thinking, thinking.............Order placed with $9.50 for shipping.............WTF?!?!?! How are they able to apply a $9.50 shipping fee after I chose Free shipping and placed the order with free shipping? I was livid, immediately got on the phone with shopyourway....no help, called back....no help, called back....sorry sir I'm not able to cancel your order, its showing its already shipping, just refuse the package....I'm not sitting on the phone with USPS for 5 hours because I wont be home when the package arrives to be able to refuse it.....I'll just return it to Sears once it gets here. Package shows up yesterday, HOLY ****!! the wrench set and accessory set just thrown in a cardboard box and taped up. NO PADDING/FILLER ANYWHERE!!!! Grab box off porch, immediately heard clanking. Open box, 10 of the 20 wrenches are just bouncing around the box. Da Fuq?
TL;DR: I was excited about Shopyourway/Sears; I bought stuff; Shopyourway/Sears *****. Stay away or good luck!
*Pics coming of box before I take it back for refund*

You have to check every screen as you order because things change when you apply points and or coupons.

You probably ended up dropping below the dollar amount for free shipping once coupons and points were applied. It got me once early on when I thought a $10 back in points for spending $50 would apply.

I simply chatted with them and they refunded me a percentage of the order total. There was no hassle about it at all, even though it was technically my fault for not noticing things had changed on the final screen.

I guess YMMV though.

Interesting. I'm just pissed it tacked on $9.50 after I hit the "Place Order Now" button. It didn't even give me a chance to back out because the points dropped me below a threshold. When I placed the order my total was $40.**. Once it was submitted they say I own them $50.**. I didn't agree to $9.50 in shipping, but somehow they managed to charge my card for that even though I did not agree to it. Very shady practice by the shopyourway website, in my eyes. Just wanted others to know.

Happy day. Received my Wright Tool 758 wrench set from Toolbarn. 18-piece, 7-24mm. I've wanted these ever since lucking into a 714 set (3/8 through 1 1/4). I also picked up a 1/4 and 5/16 today to round out that 714 set. And Channellock 718 and 738 got me to the free shipping mark.uploadfromtaptalk1446142325637.jpg

I've been drooling over that same set for at least 6 months now. I desperately need to get some metric wrenches.

I like the yellow blow molded case that comes with that ball joint press. Seems like all the clamps are made from the same mold.

I'd be willing to bet it was showing on the page before you hit submit but they probably didn't make it very obvious something had changed.

I wanted a simple thinner #2 screwdriver. I love my snap on screwdrivers but I always felt the #2 drivers handle is too large and should have a smaller handle.
Was at Home Depot tonight and bought a Klein driver. I'm gonna rip off the rubber sleeve to get the thin driver I'm looking for.

I've been considering buying those same sets of Wright wrenches. Seem like they'd be pretty good, although I've never actually used any before.

Only place I've managed to find it is Zoro tools thru eBay. $9.73 plus $5.00 for shipping. I've got 3 now. One for each box. I'm not sure if they have it on their website as well or not. Part number is 9999V
