I feel that those Wiha nut drivers would be annoying, looks like the handles get bigger with the sizes, maybe it is an optical illusion. Looks like three different sizes and that would drive me crazy, do they think that my hands get larger with the size of the hardware? Maybe some guys get hand-ons and all the blood rushes to their hands making them bigger?

Haven't used the the nut drivers yet, but I've had the Wiha softfinish screwdrivers for a couple years now and they've been great.

The handles are fine; I like that they get smaller with drive size. Using a 3/16 driver with a huge handle is weird, but good to have on the larger sizes for more torque. Imagine a surgeon using a machete handle on his scalpel...

Almost all screwdrivers have different sized handles don't they?

They have never bothered me but I have rather large hands.

Here are my tool arrivals for the last couple weeks :bounce:

Coast Products Polysteel Flashlight 600

This 620 lumens flashlight was a warranty replacement for a 579 lumens unit I bought at Home Depot last holiday season.

OTC Tools 6506 Metric Double Flaring Tool Set (Made in Taiwan)

I bought this flaring set at Summit Racing Equipment. Here is the website link: LINK. It is of good quality. The only minor issue I see with the set is that the area of the case holding the metric adapters doesn't securely hold them in place. A few move around in their oversize circular slot.

I used it today to cut, double flare, bend, and connect two spliced lines (underneath the back seat) to a 4-way connector to the rear brakes on my Subaru Forester. One of the original lines was leaking brake fluid.

Bostitch 65 pc, 3/8" and 1/2" Dr Pass-Thru Socket Set (Made in Taiwan)

This set was originally priced at Walmart at 78.**. It was on clearance for the same price. :headscrat There were 3 units in stock. After haggling with the department manager, I got it for $40.00 like another GJ member several days ago.

Dave

In my world I love bostitch. I have been thinking of getting that set or the dewalt set. Can't use automotive brands in the construction world....or at least my brain won't let me..

Snap-on stubby and 5 position ratcheting screwdrivers. From the classifieds here at GJ.

Also got a Gearwrench 17mm ratcheting stubby to fill a hole in my set but already stuck it in the rack.

Forgot to post these the other day.

I couldn't swing SK Day and the green hammer deal that close together, but I guess I'll have to order a couple the next time they have a promo and see what all the fuss is about. They look really nice!

We took a day trip to New Bern, NC and I picked up this Klein bottle opener at Mitchell's Hardware. Also got a nice tin funnel.

Yeah, he did....but they were blue..and these are green.

The green hammers are for my field box and truck. The blue hammers are staying in the shop. I love the green, but grease does a number on them quick, the blue do not care what you do to them, they still look great. I figure in the field and truck they are not as likely to get grease on them, plus they will be easier to find. I don't know as I really needed the slim dead blows, but I figured I would get them anyways.

Last week I was replacing the injection pump on a 72 BMW 2002tii and I found myself really needing an extra long pattern 10mm wrench.

These got here from Dennis Schmidt today

That metric drawer is damn full of Toptul now. I need to throw out those awful craftsman spline wrenches. I thought they might be useful on whitworth fasteners but they turned out to be useless.

But what to replace them with?

Grabbed these today at Tractor Supply for 29.99. Was looking for a set of stubbys for my home box and these look and feel pretty nice. They're my first Gearwrench purchase.

My order from Brampton, Ontario came in! They use local newspaper as packing material, different news for this BC boy.

Interested in seeing how those hex keys and T-handles hold up, I'm looking for a new set of T-handles eventually, and wouldn't mind buying Canadian if possible.

Meanwhile! Amazon brought a little something buy to compliment my hammer purchase and assist on a few projects I've been meaning to finish!

10pc Irwin screw extractors and LH cobalt bits, and a 12 pc Stanley punch/chisel set so I have a few things to beat on with hammers! :lol_hitti

Still waiting on the ***** punch that was an add on. I'm not entirely sure why it was listed as an add on item on Amazon but didn't ship in the same run. Oh well.

Oh and the hammers, in case I didn't already post them:

I have the bostitch version of that punch and chisel set. I keep it in my bag and inevitably I use more than I thought I would. Punches usually to pop hinge pins.
