Promo runs through Jan 2016, so maybe the website is just not working properly at the moment.

Purchase the M12 power source with whatever kit you are wanting in order to maximize savings on the 2 tool kit. Then return the power source.

Based on how HD's system handles returns, there shouldn't be any changes. They run BOGO deals on different tools all throughout the year, and the way to distribute the discount between the 2 items is always the same.

Thank you. I saw the promos for the various kits. I was tempted to get a M18 fuel kit, but thought it was overkill. I'm just a regular homeowner, but want the 18v set for an impact wrench later on. I picked the standard M18 kit and the power source.

Can anyone tell me if this is the gen 2 kit or the latest?

Milwaukee Model # 2799-22CX Internet # 205846386 Store SKU # 1001277527 M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Compact Brushless Hammer Drill/Impact Combo Kit (2-Tool)
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...l-Impact-Combo-Kit-2-Tool-2799-22CX/205846386

And when does the discount show? Like another poster, nothing is showing up at the billing/credit card page.

the M18 combo for $208 is tempting but I have so many craftsman C3 tools that it is tough to just start something new.

it wont be once you start, and see/feel the difference in quality.. YES - most of us dont "NEED" this stuff. everyone survived years ago when the 9.6volt was king of the hill, and 12volts came along and blew people away.. lol

i sold off all my dewalt 18v stuff once i got my fuel drill and driver kit. was all down hill from then, but for me these are easily the tools ill have and use for the next 20 years. ebay is great option if you decide to sell anything off. best choice is to sell piece by piece to make the most money.

I haven't been able to get the discounts to work all day. It was working fine yesterday.

Ridgid power tools are sold exclusively through Home Depot. All my cordless tools are Ridgid. I really don't have any complaints with the brand other than a lack of tool offerings. They seem to be working on adding additional new tools this year though.

Am I reading this correctly that RIDGID offers a lifetime replacement warranty?

I just added some items to my cart on the website to check and it worked fine for me. Maybe the item you selected isn't eligible for the promo.

RIDGID GEN5X Brushless 18-Volt Compact Hammer Drill/Driver and 3-Speed Impact Driver Combo Kit

Model # R9205

that and this

Ryobi QuickTurn 4-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/4 in. Cordless Screwdriver

Model # HP44L

according to the website it is a qualifying purchase for $100 and it doesn't discount anything

I even tried it with an extra Ridgid battery which is right on the drill combo page and says it qualified and it doesn't give me the discount

it seems only items for the $150 off are working the $100 isnt

I just got the $150 discount to work but not the $100. I wonder if they sold out of the brushless kit.

So is anyone having problems with ordering ship-to-home and then returning just one item to a store? (NOT including getting black-listed for too many returns)

Shipping to store made returns easier last year. The returned item did not need to be ripped open looking for bricks, etc....

Tested a few items on my list: M18 lantern 99>67 or Ryobi led 69>45

M18 lantern should be $79 regular retail, no? And the M12 $59. If they've inflated the price to $99, not that great.

Anyone see today's email? The M18 stick light (which I need) is $59 today, and it works w the promo. If you do the DeWalt kit it takes the light to $38.32. Appears to be $89 all over the web.

I kinda feel bad about returning, and I love tools and I love Milwaukee. So I ordered the new Fuel kit to compare to the previous 2604 and 2653 which I have. I'll just keep it, sure I need a 6th cordless drill :). I really could use the batteries. $308 total for this kit and the stick light seems really good.

Thanks, I just ordered and got the same deal.

I may be in luck if this works: I was able to order the Dewalt kit for store pickup, but the store didn't have the stick light so I had this shipped to my house (free). So hopefully i can just cancel the store pickup and still get the price on the sticklight without leaving the house.

Has this worked for anyone?

I just did this, no problems at all. They did ask why I was returning it and looked like they entered the "reason" into the computer. Not sure if they're tracking that kind of stuff or if it's just standard procedure.

They have to ask why anything is being returned to make sure it does not need a rtv (return to vendor) tag if damaged or used.

Are the M18 and M12 stick light LED's the same? I've really enjoyed my M12 light, and wouldn't mind having another one. I've got plenty of batteries in both platforms so that's not an issue.

Someone in the Milwaukee thread had a good review on all of the M-series lights.

Of the stick lights the M12 seemed to be better. Of the flood lights the M18 won.

I used the 100/150 off promo to buy one of each of those last year. The m18 stick light for 39 is tempting but not sure Ill buy in.

FYI the $100 is working again

I went with RIDGID just because it was a bit more affordable, and they have a lifetime replacement on everything even the batteries.

I wanted to hold the drill first and the website said to call the store because they had limited quantities, when I got there they had maybe 10 or more, so the website is lying.

I just walked into the store and bought the GEN X5 combo and a roybi tiny hand held driver for $30 and it took the discount off right at the register, I didnt want to scan the receipt for the RIDGID warranty with returns listed on the paper so I didn't return the ryobi yet, I'm gonna register it then return the small roybi driver.

I basically got a brush-less hammer drill and a 3-speed impact driver also brush-less with 2 batteries for $180 and it has a lifetime warranty. plus they are most powerful in class so Im happy.

I've got the M12 LED stick, M18 LED lantern, M18 LED flood, and M18 LED flashlight. Really like the flood light, but I'm not very impressed by the M18 flashlight. The LED portion of the M18 stick look appears identical to the M12 version, and I've really enjoyed the M12 stick light. Might have to try out the M18, and if I don't like it, I won't have a problem getting my money back.

If anyone thinking of pulling the trigger (lol) on the 2655 it has the detent pin is a pain to change sockets. If you work on a skyscraper then ok. Must have been overstock because the friction ring is a better seller .
