Who knew? I was perusing the latest This Old House magazine and saw note about them.

I've been debating some sort of built-in outdoor kitchen arrangement for our house. But I've never really liked the look of stainless doors, not to mention they're REALLY expensive. $400 for a pair of just doors isn't atypical.

The setup for these won't be under a porch roof. So whatever I go with will have to be suitable for 24x7 exposure, through a range of all four seasons. The only upside is the front of the cabinets will face North, avoiding constant Southern sun beating down on it.

Anyone seen these in-person?

Given the price of stainless doors, 'outrageous' is relative.

The trade-off of getting a decent looking cabinet could be worth it. I'm just not inclined to use the industrial-looking stainless gear for this particular setup.

Trex is heavy and has no strength, so any long unsupported pieces will be floppy.
