I looked but couldn't find any mention of this in this forum. This deal is in participating stores only [True Value via ShopLocal marketing campaign), so you may have to "change location" on this page to see if a True Value store near you is offering it.

Key facts:
valid from Nov 25 - Dec 1
50% off any one item under $50
excludes sales, clearance, gift cards

It's possible that True Value has multiple variants on this promotion, so local stores can choose which (if any) variant to offer.

They are upping the ante against ace by going up to 50 clams with this coupon. Guess I'll have to go to both places. Man this board is going to break me.

Cool, they brought it back. This is the one I really wanted. Now to find a True Value that actually has this ad with coupon. Thanks for posting!!!

Think this would be worth buying and selling to keep the bonus batteries?

Home Depot worked easy.

Lowes called Mgr over and he read the coupon for five minutes and said hm it is what it is go ahead and honor it.

Fine print says not on sale or clearance etc but they let me use it.

Thanks guys and OP, I tried one today at HD this afternoon and it worked! And the nearest True Value to me is about 30 miles away! Didn't even need to call a manager, just took him a second to figure out how to do the register. I got a Ryobi 18v Cordless Fan for $20 normally $40 with mine. I've been wanting one of those to add to my Ryobi tool lineup. Note also, I did use it at Menards too but they really frowned on it and said "this time only !" Apparently Menards does not in fact match deals like this, but only competitor coupons on specific items. But I got a giant size two part JB WOOD wood restore epoxy from them that I need for some outdoor wood repairs. Good stuff. Normally $49.99 for $25. I have to say this little coupon is one of the best deals going this BF and weekend too! I may use it a few more times. Haven't been to Lowes yet. My BF was two stores: HD and Menards this year for less than $150 total. That was it! - Paul

So I tried this coupon on Lowes today on an item and they flat out refused to do it. They said they honor competitor "prices" but not "coupons", so no go at Lowes. Looks like HD is the only place I could find to take it. - Paul

Another one of Lowe's lies - Menards #1 / Home Depot #2 and Lowes if #1 and #2 are sold out lol

Yeah, that's how I rank them too. Shoot, I still put SEARS way ahead of Lowes most of the time! I'm also liking Rural King and Ollies and still HF for certain things. Tractor Supply rarely, but I get some stuff there. I really don't like Lowes except for super cheap clearance stuff - way tooooo expensive in my town for most things, like 30% more than Menards on a normal daily basis and 15% more than HD. - Paul

I used 8 of the True Value coupons today. 7 at 4 different Home Depots and 1 at Lowe's. I had one HD turn me down and 1 out of 2 Lowe's turn me down, but the others worked no problem. I am making the rounds tomorrow. I just bought a house and there are so many things under $50 I can use.

Thanks GJ!

Thanks for the heads up. I needed some LED light timer switches.

The interesting thing, well maybe not so interesting at all but when I look at their incentive ad's to lure me in, it makes True Hardware look like the worst hardware store on the planet. I thought I was looking a Big Lots ad's and not a hardware store ad.

What type of things are you guys getting at true value? Or are you just using this coupon at other stores?
I'd like to take advantage of this coupon but I'm not sure what I even need so I'm looking for ideas.

Just used 6 today at one Home Depot, two trips in with 3 at each cashier.

Today's haul at 50% off:
-Ridgid black friday vacuum
-12ga extension cord
-box of caulk
-ogee router bit
-DeWalt countersink set
-Washing machine connection hoses

The girlfriend and I just bought a house built in 1941 and are doing renovations. This coupon came at a great time.

I only want the Milwaukee 13 worksite box and the Milwaukee compartment organizer. Printed out the coupon and went to the Local HD. Got shot down right on the spot when the cashier called and talked to the store manager. :(

Thanks OP....and also 77ford, bdestroyer.... This coupon is working out great..

Store took it no problem...but head cashier was looking very hard.... But really...I think most will take it as each store is driven by sales $$ volume....and no store manager wants to be on the bottom rank in performance, means..NO BONUS for him...

BF milwaukee 15pc set $22 out the door.......was lucky to find it...

I didn't want to slam one HD with all the coupons and take a chance of having them say no so I spread the wealth over 4 HD's. I had to go to 5 stores though since one gave me garbage about how they only take Lowes 10% movers coupons. The Milwaukee blades I paid full (12.50) price, the ladder was 25, the bit socket set was 12, would have been 10 but the store that turned me down is the only HD in my area that has that set listed with a new lower price of $20, all other HD's have the set at 25, the heat gun was 20 and the outlet was 15. All prices are after coupon.

Do they scan the bar code on these coupons? I printed some off in color, but it's not as clear as some coupons posted by other members.

Nope. They manually input the discount. Sometimes as competitors coupon or markdown. But they usually ask head cashier or supervisor for approval.

I usually give them the full page front page with coupon and black Friday items. So they know it's legit ad. Then I have backup clear copy of just the coupon if they question it.

I just got back from homedepot and purchased a set of channel locks and some edger blades to try it. They gave me no problems at all at the PRO DESK

I used one 10 times at a store this weekend. Went in today and they said no way.

That's the difference between the full-timers on weekdays and the part-timers on weekends.

No really. I used the lady at the pro desk who is the head cashier during the week when I go in. She said she got stuck working on Saturday morning trading a shift with someone.

I just tried at lunch and the cashier asked another cashier, who replied with some attitude that there was no way since they aren't a competitor. I replied, okay I'll just get it at True Value then and left the item there. I'm sure they didn't really care. Was worth a shot.

Worked at one store where the clerk just manually entered a discount and the second store is a no go. Both friendly but the second spent 5 minutes explaining that it had to be on a item that both stores carried etc.

On my way home from work I stopped at the same homedepot to get a M12 flashlight to my Milwaukee assortment. Coupon worked without any issues. Can't beat it for 20 bux!!

Before presenting the coupon I just asked "Do you honor competitors coupons?" response was yes. So I picked up the $49.88 Klein 6 piece electricians set that was the "special buy" and the cashier had no problem with it.
