I was just looking through their whole 18v lineup. I gotta admit I'm really impressed with what they have. It's a shame the brushless line is so small, and the torque ratings on the brushed stuff isn't overly impressive.. Also, I never understood why Home Depot doesn't expand their tool offering inside the store.. They could at least have an endcap for each major tool brand with a poster showing what's available in the lineup for each brand..

I'm seriously jealous of the coffee maker though.. Lol I would buy one just for the cool factor.

This should start am interesting product war.
Dewalt should be next to come out with one and theirs will be bigger and will be able to survive a 12 ft drop.
Milwaukee will follow with a built in bean grinder, light and radio.
Craftsman will be last with one that *****.

Honestly though, I think I would buy it too ( the Makita)

The capacity of it *****. 15oz of coffee on one 5 amp battery. They should run this off two batteries like their chainsaw. Millwaukee's 9 amp battery would work great on one of these

Maybe its just me but I find it funny that their "cordless" coffee maker still requires a cord. :wtf:

Well there is still a power cord option... I imagine they made a remote power source to keep the size of the machine down.. Might aso be good to keep the battery away from water.

The only reason I went with Milwaukee was because of the 1/2 impact, but Makita will always be number #1 to me they offer so much more

I like makita, and it's my brand of choice , but you better not be all that thirsty or in a hurry for a cuppa joe

Saw a review of the coffee maker that said that it is only good for one cup and kills the battery after one time use so it will need to be recharged

... And when you REALLY need a coffee and don't have electricity handy, I bet quite a few people will think that's perfectly fine.

If there was no electricity and that coffee maker was around, i can promise u somebody would be.looking for their batteries.. Unless u plan on starting a fire, it seems like a good choice to me..

I have to shamelessly admit to dragging an extension cord out to the 3000 watt inverter in my truck to plug in the coffee maker the last time we had a power outage.

You guys are seriously acting like someone on earth has only ONE battery?

Even cavemen had two hands for their tools - does anyone at all have less than 2-3 batteries for their cordless tools?

This would be bitchin' for camping along with the cordless blower for the air mattress and power stroking the fire. I always take a few batteries with me when I go.

Makita should have the new impact wrenches out in the states soon. My favorite Makita cordless would probably be the ML800 headlamp, it is great for camping or when it gets dark while fishing/hunting. Some things that would be interesting might be a cordless finish nailer, coil roofing nailer, hammer and maybe their version of a lawnmower.
