Does anyone have one of these SMART phone plug-in Thermal Imaging camera deals?

Pricing is $105-$120 on these and I was wondering how reasonable they are. I'm sure it's no $2,000 Fluke unit, but for someone just looking for general cold/hot spots in a home, diagnosis and analysis of car systems, etc..it seems like a cool tool.

That is cool! FLIR pretty much has a monopoly on infrared sensors.
They invented and make the sensor chips, so I'm sure this is the
real deal.

Sucky, overproduced web site though. Took me forever to find...

"The latest generation of FLIR ONE is compatible with Android
products with USB On-The-Go (OTG) and Apple products with
a lightning connector. The Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6, iPhone 6,
6+ and iPad are among the devices that the FLIR ONE can be
used with."

I don't have a "smart" phone, but I do have an iPad. Cool.

I thought it was cool too, for $110 on Amazon..it's almost worth just trying. It'd be handy and also something else to annoy the Wife with. :3gears:

The one you have pictured is 249.95. The iPhone 5 model is 149.95. Where do you see them for $105.00?

I've been waiting for them to get below $100.00.

Look at Denwoods thread. Although he used the much more expensive Pro model. For some cool (pun intended) shots.

I just grabbed some picture off google, the Amazon one I was referring to is this one. Probably a bit more crude than the $250 one.

I have a Seek Thermal and really like it.

Make sure you do your research, and buy what supports your needs. The Seek Thermal is just a thermal imager, but it's a higher resolution and has a wider temperature range than the FLIR offering. FLIR on the other hand pairs a thermal imager with a visible light camera, and does edge overlays which are helpful, but if you read their marketing, they really go out of their way to hide just how low the actual resolution is from the thermal imager itself.
