Wine bottle and glass holder from copper pipe

Spent the afternoon making this. Not much of a wine drinker at all but still pretty cool.

Very nice, must say I had to chuckle when a boilermaker made a piece out of pipe.

Just a random thought, it might be cool to heat color it in spots and then clear coat the entire thing to prevent it from oxidizing and darkening from sitting out and oil in the skin.

I'm actually thinking of doing a blue patina on it using ammonia, salt and baking powder. I'll post pictures if I do it. Thanks!

Unique piece for sure. Downside is, not all bottles have the dimpled bottom to fit it. Perhaps a second variation is in order.

You could make a second version where the bottom is cradled like the neck, but in the bottom of the cradle you have a T that allows a finger to come off, bend-up, and act as a stop so the bottle won't slide out.

That's a really nice piece! That's Farmer's Market Fodder for sure.

Thanks! I'd have to crunch the numbers for the fittings because i bought bags of ten and had some leftover from a previous project. I also went through quite a bit of pipe.. More than I had expected. This thing wasn't cheap to make! But it'll last forever

Silver solder i believe. Whichever is standard for plumbing copper water pipes (believe silver solder but it's early on a Monday and I could be wrong.. haha)

You're both right! It's at a really low angle so the cork stays wet. Only works for a full bottle of course. I'm not a wine guy either but it's more of a conversation piece
