I saw two boxes sitting on the driveway and I thought it had arrived, but no... one was the laptop motherboard I ordered, the other was something for my other half.

The outbound one should go in the mail tomorrow or Monday.

Got the box winging its way to my victim - oops, I mean recipient. I even sweet-talked SWMBO into taking it to the post office for me.

I would like to add my two cents. If you guys can't appreciate the gift you might receive, please do not participate. I think that when someone takes the time to send you a gift, you should have the courtesy to at least thank them for the gift you received. Even if it is in the true Secrete Santa fashion and it's from a anonymous member, you could at least acknowledge that the gift was received. I remember last year there were some members that did not do that. It doesn't take a lot of your time to post a thank you for the gift. So I'm asking that if you are going to partake in this, that you also let the others know that the gift was received and appreciated. Not everyone is going to get that magical box that Twertsy sent out last year. So keep in mind that you might only get a cheap set of sockets. It is the spirit of Christmas to be grateful.

With that said.....I'm in

Quoted for the truth, as this needs to be written. Especially the second sentence, which is worth quoting again.

Let's be honest, no one here is obligated to give any products away and yet there those that do. Sure not everyone will receive what they want, be grateful you received anything at all. Not everyone is that fortunate.

Thanks for hosting this Secret Santa.

Well here's my story... I ordered a Japanese license plate to display in my garage off eBay, and I got this package out of the mailbox today and thought it was the plate...

I opened it up and behold....

In the package was not a Japanese plate, but instead a very cool tin sign with a classic Scout II advert on it!

Since it is still Chanukah, I do not feel bad opening it... Thanks to my Secret Santa! This will be displayed in a place of honor in the shop...

Monday the gift will be on it's way... Let's hope there is no delay...

As GJ's everywhere dream of new wrenches and sockets... Santa will be off

like a rocket... then delivering all those tool goodies Christmas Day, so every

GJ'er can go to the garage and play.

Ok, I have to ask. What did Twertsy send last year?

just by pure luck twertsy got my name.
i'd never met him before, but it turned out he lives one town over from me.
he picked up this awesome 50s Gerstner chest full of machinist tools for a honey of a deal at a yard sale for me.
