my SS gift went out on 10 DEC 2015 and tracking shows it arrived at the main post office in the recipient's area. Looks like it'll be delivered today - 14 DEC 2015.

I sent mine out dec 8th. The clerk said the address didn't exist in the system? She said sometimes when out in the woods that happens and she could force it through. I never had that happen before or even heard of such. I said send It, so I am hoping all is good. I pulled up my pm while there for her to read the address just for sanity sake. It's insured with my return address, but I want it in Wisconsin!

Sent a package to my person this morning, it is only going about a 5-6 hour drive away so I'd figure even with the heavy Christmas package traffic it should be there mid week.

I think the shoes will fit my wife. She needs a new pole as well, the brass is tarnished beyond Brasso or Flitz.:shocking:

She did say see needed a new "pole" yours was tarnished from lack of use! You might try some Naval Jelly on yours though!:lol_hitti

I had a box show up last week. Admittedly I was caught by surprise and came close to opening it. Lucky for me there were some Garage Journal logo's that stopped me from cutting the tape lol. Been shaking it though thinking what could be in there :)

Putting the finishing touches on mine and will be dropping it off to the post office tomorrow. So excited!

Well I ordered something for my SS and a similar item for my BIL. My BIL's came in about 4 days and the tracking number for my SS's gift hasn't changed in 8 days. I called FedEx and they said they will put a trace on it but if I don't hear anything in 10 days, to call the shipper and have them file a claim. I didn't want to wait so I went to reorder it and had to confirm the item with what I already ordered and lo and behold, within 10 minutes of talking to FedEx the package has actually moved and is one state away. this may work out afterall.

Those of you that have received your boxes already don't forget to post a pic of the box under the tree, or wherever it will sit until opened.

Received mine today, though there were no GJ markings on the box... had the wife take a quick peek inside and then seal it back up. :)

Sending mine out on Friday... only has to go a few hundred miles so it should be there with plenty of time still.

I was at the Post Office yesterday and they had a sign up saying the last day to ship a package to arrive by Christmas with norma Flat Rate was Dec 21st. Flat Rate Express was Dec 24th. I'm still accumulating some items so I haven't shipped yet. Sadly one thing I wanted to send is too long for the biggest flat rate.

Usually December 19th is the drop dead date for the USPS.
We've had a rash of "Porch Pirates" that drive around snatching gifts and boxes out of mailboxes and off front stoops, so ya never know. So sad.

Wonder if a box full of lead would slow them down or hmmm a trip wire attached to a screaming alarm ..lol I think the box of lead would be better as they most likely would be laying on the ground when the owner got home :}

Mine went out today. Forgot to put a "Merry Christmas, hope you enjoy the gift " letter in the box, but I will send him a PM Christmas Eve so he isn't scratching his head wondering who sent it.

This year has been a whirlwind of chaos with work and such, and even though time has been a rare commodity this year I did manage to make my recipient something custom to hang in his garage. Hope he likes it:beer:.

I couldn't edit my original post to add the pic. The tree isn't finished. So I just laid out the red thingy and took the picture. On Christmas when I open it I will post a better picture.

I managed to get my SS gift packed in a box and off in the mail. Whew! I forgot to put a note inside too, had to write "Don't open until Christmas" on the outside of the box at the last minute. So much fun!

Just checked the tracking info, and half of my SS gift has landed. I'm not sure what the protocol here is for spoiling who it is but whoever may have gotten a gift that seems like it should be opened now rather than waiting, you should open it now rather than waiting. You know if it has air holes or something or says "Fresh" on the outside.

That's not the way the elves posts go generally its giving the poor SS some idea of your likes (or dislikles) in general terms, not a specific list. Go read some...

Lassen, Last year someone said "No hints; send em' socks..."

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE SOCKS! i buy a new pack atleast 4 times a year!
