First off Great project. I love the eccoboost (the only furd I can say this of)
I own an outo repair and service shop and I stay FAR away as I can from Az Orielly carquest napa and all the other China parts sellers as I can. good parts are Factory parts or made for factory without factory name, I buy all my **** from Worldpac and its wholesale only. Hell I wont even use Gates belts as the non oe fail way to early. I know I keep a wall of them as proof to my customers. I only sell Mitsuboshi or Bando belts.

After a few pages I tend to loose interest in reading over 100 pages. sorry short attention span =(
Did find however the startup vid and lots of work done. Awsome to see

As of now Im doing a similar project of a 71 C10 with a twin turbo LB7 duramax with a C30 frame and made it a 4X4.
I did my own first as a 72 blazer w the said twinned dmax. I used the factory wiring and switches to operate 78 van window motors and locks. I used the factory abs and put tone rings in a dana 60 front. the Air con I used a vintage air unit that worked awesome and melded nicely with my factory ac then left firewall flushed. I did put in the onstar only to find it went digital and was useless. I kept the factory dash and steering colum and used aftermarket guages with senders drilled and tapped into engine. We Chevy guys have the advantage of EFI live to remove the security systems and tune for 2x Hp and Tq. (You can tune for 500+hp as well) I did not however bother with air bags as I did not want the new interior to fugly up my vintage truck. I since took the truck apart and built a HUGE 2000 Yukon Xl w solid axle and this dmax, After bending the frame in the back moving huge trailer full of rock around my back yard in 4lo I pulled it apart again and got a hold of a 71 C10 that I mentioned. Wiring Im very good at so I just used alldata and did my own thing.
Next one is a 2007 suburban 2500 in black will get a twin turbo LMM pushing 1100 hp. Ive got all the parts and truck just need other projects done first :bounce:
Hope to inspire you that you can do eeeeeeet with my story's of it being done with the enemy truck

Thanks!

I would be interested in seeing the projects & am sure others would like to see them also.

I have tried my best multiple times to explain the "Magic Soap", I have posted pics of products used that are mixed together. 4 different soaps/cleaners are mixed different depending on what I am trying to clean. I have been doing it the same mixes for over 25yrs now.

Problem is only one part of it can be shipped UPS, FedEx. It would have to be shipped truck freight. I have not had the time and not so sure I want to get involved in sending it when its only "truck ship".

I have about enough to get me through the next project or so. I have given away too many samples! LOL

To explain this in detail it would have to go to a email, Kinda got the "hint" last time to ssshhhhh about it. (manufacturer). I will leave what pics and info already posted but will keep details to private email or PM. I do not want to post the reasons for that here.

I've had this file saved to my desktop for quite a while, I gave up on sourcing some of it..

"337 is the White Wall cleaner

221 is the Versa-Clean

123 is the Leather and Plastic Cleaner

for strongest cleaning action use the 337 & 221 equal parts of each then add
2x that amount of water. Preferable HOT water to spray bottle.

This is if you have heavy amount of grease~dirt. Tire sidewalls etc
You can do 3-4x the water to mixed 337 & 221 for cleaning other items

For Upholstery, vinyl ~ cloth seats above can be used or mix with the 123 Upholstery and vinyl cleaner."

So I have been toying with other mixes with some success.
Using products like..
Awesome
Hand sanitizer
Oxyclean
Turtle wax bug and tar
Proforce Heavy Duty Degreaser

Nothing magical, but a couple blends have worked pretty good. LOL
I don't want to waste your time dredging up the magic soap talks. But I am curious of the secrecy and needing to pm...

Any rate, I hope your doing well. I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I tell you I check this thread almost daily. Wishing you the best, and if you have the time to shoot a pm about that, or any info regarding allocating the supplies, I would greatly appreciate it!

The last batch of pics I took were in RAW format. They simply will not work with photobucket.

I deleted the links.

Working on another project now . .

Spent last week at SEMA

With luck I'll never step foot in an AZ, OR, or AdvA again in my life. Been buying parts from Amazon/Rock Auto, only AC Delco OEM parts for the old Chevy truck. Bought enough cheap Chinese garbage from those places, with works who could barely speak English forcing me to speak in Spanish to communicate with them. The last time at OR, the guy was so ignorant I got frustrated and left, not only did he not know what he was talking about, he outright lied and got upset when I called him out on it.

(Years back OR wouldn't sell me a rebuilt alternator because their machine showed it was OK. Although on the truck it was squealing and the dash light was on. Stupid is as stupid does)

On the positive side, hope to see that Bronco out at the McDonalds car show sometime over the winter. Looks darn good.

Thanks to all who asked.

3 word's, continued "health" Issues.

I have made no progress on anything for past month or so.

Bronco sold prob 6 weeks ago now but still here. Part of deal was for me to store in until Dec 19th which is this Saturday. Still needs a few things done prior to going. That will free up a much needed spot indoors.

At this point in time I can do little to nothing without help. Very seldom does anyone stop by this time of year. Very cold here right now heavy frost the last couple nights.

Goal was to get the EcoProject at least driving by Christmas with only things left for past few months is install windshield (still not in) and secure parts held on with vice grips. Make sure all is good before a longer test drive.

If it takes 3 months to get 8 hrs in . . . .

Seems like Life is on "Hold"

It will probably be another couple months b4 any more progress is done.

If and when that happens it will be posted here.

In the mean time I have been trying to learn how to edit video & sort thru photo's. Even that is difficult at best.

I hope all have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Still here just not well.

Glad to hear from you, and hope you get well soon. Thoughts and prayers your way, pal. Wish I was close, and could lend a hand. You've provided us with so much entertainment, it feels like we owe you a hand around the shop. Keep us posted, many of us love to hear your updates.

And... I'm not even upset at you for selling that awesome Bronco. :)

TW - Sorry to hear you're having health problems again. I hope that you can get them all sorted out, sooner rather than later.

Although the Bronco is sold, the memories you created with your daughter cannot be taken away. That in and of itself is a great thing.

Keep us posted, even if you don't have an update on the project, we still want to know how you're doing.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

TW,

Sorry to hear that your ongoing health issues are limiting your work progress! I always look forward to reading and seeing your project posts!!

I have been away from home since early October, and now will be in Northeast PA until after Christmas. I can't wait to get back to sunny Nevada and get to working on my own truck projects.

I hope you have Happy Holidays and keep us posted!!

It seems so sad that the Bronco that you & your daughter spent so much time on,that also took you away from the Eco bost is being sold. Not saying it isn't the right thing to do, just sad. IMO. But it is great to hear from you & the windshield looks nice! Best of luck with your health, Merry Christmas.
