Hi guys,

Debating between the Red NewAge Performance Series and the Red/Black Craftsman Cabinets and Storage lockers.

I like that the NewAge is welded, looks like the Craftsman you bolt together?

Does anyone know the gauge of steel of the Craftsman Models?

Craftsmen is cheaper and I like the in-store pick up and returns if needed while I have read some shipping/damage issues with the new age products.

Looking for any exposure to both models and feedback, good and bad.

Thanks!

I have a red/black standing locker and 3 of the wall cabinets. I measured them right around ~22ga. For the money, I really like them, but would have definitely considered saber cabinets had I known about them at the time.

I looked at some Craftsmans that were on clearance a couple of month ago. I passed, they are just too tinny and cheap.

Just installed my NewAge cabinets about a week ago. They were delivered quickly and their condition was flawless. The only problem was a missing bracket (basically a piece of angle iron). Like you I had considered the Craftsman cabinets as well. I feel like they are very similar in quality and finish for a lower end cabinet. I ended up going with the NewAge 10-piece set up from HD because it looked more like a complete unit. Mine are new so I cant tell you how they will hold up in the long run but so far I am very happy with them for the price I payed.

Thanks for the feedback guys. 2loPoPo, that set up looks awesome! I was looking at doing something similar with just one locker, three wall cabinets and their 6 ft work bench.

2loPoPo,

The new cabinets look great...is that the Performance Series cabinets? Where did you purchase them from? And how much did they cost?

I am in the process of selecting some cabinets for my new garage, and I am leaning towards the NewAge products, but I'm not sure if I need to spend the extra amount for the Pro 3.0 series (do I really need 18 gauge steel, or is 24 gauge good enough?)...anything saved on cabinets I can use for my new lift!

Thanks in advance for the info.
