Thank you FIRWORKS (Mike) for all the incredible gifts. Starting with the Fruitcake from Collins Street Bakery I opened that bad boy first thing this morning and had a slice with my coffee. Then opened the other box and WOW what a great assortment of quality tools and Peoria, Illinois magnetic cards and candies. I will put them all to good use especially the 1/2" USA Craftsman ratcheting wrench and all the Wilde greatness. Great insight into your work on CATEPILLER design and your home town. I will be googling Peoria to find out more especially this Carp fishing craze. The candy coins and the Snow ToGo were snatched up by the neighbor kid who showed up to spread some Christmas cheer. Thanks again Mike (FIRWORKS) you truly served up a wonderful Garage Journal Secret Santa Christmas. I hope you and your family have magnificent holiday and best wishes in the new year.

Crazy how bright this circuit on board LED is....awesome fill factor.

First two pieces didn't last long. Yummy!

I have looked at these fastcap tapes and thought they were kinda gimmicky but upon first impression this tape measure has a good feel in my hand. I like the index finger trigger stop placement and in fact my wife has told me "stop playing with it" :rocker:

Really nice CAT tee shirt with an earbud loop. Excellent!

Thank you so much to my SS gayler! The knife fits in my hand like a dream and feels as solid as a rock. And as for the Schrade tool, it seems very useful, we'll have to see how it does against the current competition .

Thank you Santa! I love it, and will take exceptional care of it!

Very cool book! do my Eyes (and magnifier) deceive me, or is 1917 misprinted as 1971 on the back? :dunno: 5th edition ties in with 1917.

ps: still waiting for my daughters to wake up to open presents... :willy_nil

A great big thanks to my SS, jawn - for a great selection of solid state "tools" and a card for a biscuit break at a national breakfast chain.

After lunch, I will be sneaking to the ham shack and putting these to good use.

Thanks again to my SS, and all the other GJ participants - you all have made my day.

Wow! Thanks for the great gift Brycez28! I don't have a laser measuring tool yet, and can't wait to try it out.

Also, thanks for the post card of your family, great dogs you have there. Here's a pic of my pup "Heidi" with your gift putting on her best smile.

Scoutdriver - thanks very much for the thoughtful gifts! The Gearwrench driver is something unique that I can sure use, and I will be clearing out a special spot in my tool box for it.

Not pictured is the Craftsman bottle opener - it went right on my key chain!

All the best to you and your family today and have a great 2016!

I'm just blown away and I thank you so much WoodstockVA. You clearly read some posts and maybe even read my mind a little.
There's an M18 4AH battery since I posted about buying a bunch of new Milwaukee tools and a note with well wishes with my new brand.
An SK 10mm ratcheting wrench which is now my best wrench and my first SK, definitely not my last.
A Mayhew scraper which is something I never would have thought to buy but I'll be so glad to have.
Two carbide tipped Diablo reciprocating saw blades which are my brand, but I've never seen these carbide tipped.
The Liquid Wrench dialectic anti-seize will come in very handy.
These Milwaukee markers are going right in my bench drawer with my frequent use miscellany, and the Milwaukee nut drivers will be my go-to for SAE stuff around the house.
Very generous and like others I'm looking forward to next year. Merry Christmas all.

A super nice set of Felo screwdrivers, Irwin cutters, Blackhawk adjustable wrench, 2 Snap on chisels, 2 really cool grabbers, Utica pliers, and some 1/4" snappy sockets. Ah man, DonkDonk thank you for all the cool stuff. I will put it all to good use. Can't think of how many times I could have used these grabbers.

Another great year with GJ SS! My Secret Santa was Spencerian, he got me a neat Hobby Lobby license plate sign that reads "AMERICA", which will be great in the shop! Also a pen holder that looks like tires, and a Craftsman USA ratcheting bit driver with a Snap-On extension. Very useful items and I thank him very much for the gifts! Merry Christmas everyone, from the Duct Tape Man family!

Well I was going to wait until my recipient got his but my brother called this morning and enticed me into opening my gift from my Secret Santa, Lone Star Blaze from Oklahoma. And it was great! Love the Ford sign and the blue work gloves. The street rod 2016 calendar was a needed item too. And the empty wrapper? That was Bedr'e chocolate in the shape of Oklahoma LOL. Merry Christmas to you and your family Aaron!

Man there is some WAY cool stuff in this thread.

Here is my stuff.

20151225_130603_zpsfkvxuoqv.jpg

All WAY useful. No duplicates, meaning I don't have any of these things. Well I do have the inspection mirror, but mine is not illuminated and it is so scratched up and has so much crud on it it is borderline useless, so my S.S. pretty much nailed it.

They all will be going into the tool box at work next monday.
Thanks to my secret santa. Great job.

I just opened an incredibly well-wrapped package from the UK. It's a clock made from an antique Daimler Conquest hubcap-it's going to look great hanging over the workbench in the shop.

I may have to set it for GMT in honor of the sender, then remember to add 8 hours to get local time.

No identity of the Secret Santa in the box or the packaging, but someone went to a lot of work putting it together and sending it internationally. I really appreciate the gift.

Hmmmm...now it's time for a little Secret Santa online detective work....;)
A search of the senders postal code narrows it down to a nice terrace home on a really short road in a very small hamlet in Lincolnshire, UK.. so I'm going to go out on a limb here and say.......

Thanks to my SS I will be BBQing in style this summer. Also for the Snap On license plate frame, the very cool twist ties and magnetic fingers (never saw either before but can't wait to try them out). Smilin' in the 'Cuse!

You are welcome. Enjoy. Don't be sad when the aluminum handle breaks off the magnet. It's normal. The flexy part and the magnet last a good while. Comes in handy.

This is a great combination of old and new, so thank you "Ben" (I think I know which GJ Ben this is - not sure he wants his handle exposed, as it was not in or on the package.)

A couple of old DOE wrenches, one is a Dunlap (Sears), and a brand new 120 tooth 3/8 drive Gearwrench Ratchet!

Thank you SS! :bounce:

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
I am in awe... humbled... just, well, WOW!!!

All I can say is **THANK YOU, SANTA!!!**

I've been spending all morning reading this cool book on Machine Shop Theory and Practice written during WW2 (down to the "published to save vital war materials" blurb) - you nailed that one in one, dude!!! - to figuring out who is going on my new "**** list" pad... all the vintage tools... and a bottle of "winter wine"...

And I thought it was a bowling ball!!! --giggles-- (And yes, I really DO bowl as well, which if you got THAT one I would have been mighty worried!!!) I just wish I knew who my SS is here... But if you ever find yourself up this way stop by and say hi!!!

Thank you Stonesfan68. I love the tools. Thank you soo much. The screwdrivers and pick set are great. And the handles fit my hand very well. And the proto vise grips also are really nice. I have a feeling they will come in handy very soon. Thanks Stonesfan68.

I'm glad that you like the stuff. I tried to get some basic things for you to start filling out your toolbox. Merry Christmas!

MAHALO Anthony Ferrara (Sorry I don't know your username) for the

SK Pick/Telescoping Magnetic Tool Pick Up Set

Pair of Mechanix Gloves

Bessey Vise Jaws and the Gummy Lobsters from the Penny Candy Store!

Merry Christmas to you and your family and thank you very much (Mahalo Nui Loa) from Hawaii!

You're super welcome! Glad it all made it safe. I WANTED to get you Boston baked beans candies, but the shop I stopped at was sold out... Lobsters came in a close second as "New England things."

Merry Christmas!

A big thank you to my Secret Santa Bobcat753! The gifts are awesome!!! Really nice to receive the hand written note too. You really have my interests figured out. They will all be put to good use. I'm going to be installing my new handle very soon.
