Anyone have a car MAT?

The big catch-all mats that you drive your vehicle on to catch dirt/mid/snow... Up here the snow and mud melts off the cars in the garage and leak into my pit and over to the walls where one walks. They are about $200each up here - wonder how durable they are.

I had one about 5 years ago. I bought it thru Cal car cover. It was a silver heavy duty vinyl mat and you would install a garden hose that was supplied thru the slots to raise the sides and edges all around the mat so water, snow, mud would not leak out. After a year of parking on it the heat from the tires began to yellow the silver mat. I got rid of it after i epoxied the floor. As for durability i would rate the one I had about a 7. Good Luck

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I have two. These have ribbed surfaces to collect gunk, and I hose them off in the winter to keep the salt off the concrete. You can see the freeze proof water line in the left of the first picture. (There's likely as much salt on our roads down here in Upstate New York as there is up there.) After a year, they still look great IMO. My kids roll them up to play in the garage, and then unroll them back down flat. I forgot where I bought them right now... but they wern't all that cheap.

Ive got some diamond plate looking vinyl mat. Its like 9x20 i think. I bought it to keep ******/ diff fluid/ oil off of my floor while i rebuild the wagoneer. Been pretty happy with it so far, though definitely not cheap... I think i paid like 450 for it.

Durability hasn't been much of an issue, though ****** fluid soaking for several weeks/ months does seem to impregnate itself into the vinyl a bit.

I use carpeting scraps and old rugs.
When the get too cruddy I trash them for replacements.

This will get moldy real quick in snow conditions.
