Not the 150 line, just the regular other sets. I'm thinking about buying a big set or putting some sets together for my specific needs. They're priced pretty well at certain sites, I was wondering how they are for the buck. Unconditional warranty.
Who has experience with these and other mid-grade punches and chisels? Better than craftsman?
Cant afford the 150 line yet. 10$ a piece isnt worth it for me right now.:3gears:

The Mayhew Pro 24 piece Punch and Chisel (MAY 61050) set for 108$ has everything I need. Are these good tools for the $, or just the 150 line? Is there a better value alternative?

Btw, i see lots of mention of the 150 line in threads here. This isnt a repeat, I'm asking about the other tools in the Pro line.

P.s.s. For work on small engines, or automobiles for that matter, is it smart to have different sizes of cape, roundnose, and diamond chisels; or will the one 1/4" size suffice? Thanks.

The Pro line is wonderful (some of the best). I used my Mayhew Pro old chisels to drive out a ball joint today on a subaru that has seen 13 or 14 salty winters. Not even a nick in the edge of the chisel.

Good to hear. I already put it on my list. So you think its best value for the $? Its about 5$ a piece.

Definitely. Mayhew stuff is a great deal for the money. You can always find cheaper brands, but the performance for the price award goes to mayhew. Truck brand quality tools for much cheaper.

Sweet . On to tap & die & extractor sets in my tool quest.
Anyone else have opinions on the pro line excluding the 150?
