Anyone have a matco tool catalog ? Do they have magnetic sockets ?

I'm looking for magnetic sockets in 3/8" drive. The only set I can find is made by GP sockets.. I thought matco had some as well.. but not sure if they have very many or what. Snapon only has 3 sizes in deep. Can anyone look them up in the catalog ? I'd also like to know some prices. Thanks

I only found one magnetic socket on their website.. a 14mm.. no photo or more info on it.

I believe Mac tools has a failry extensive line of magnetic sockets... also, you can make any socket magnetic if you take the magnet off a pick up tool and put it in the botom of the socket!

Matco has 3/8" Magnetic Metric shallow impact set SBMM66R that has 7,8,10,12,13,15mm ($61.55)

and SAE SBMP56R that includes 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 9/16" ($63.65)

Don't ask me why they only make those sizes...

They also make 1/4" sizes, but equally lacking in available sizes. BTW, I have the GP sets in both 1/4" & 3/8", and while much more complete in terms of sizes, they are pretty crappy, (the chrome is pealing on all the magnets). But as often as I use them, (basically never) I don't think I will upgrade.

Thanks for the info Skyline. I have the GP set in 1/4".. I dont remember seeing chrome on the magnets.. I remember them being a bronze color.

Do you wanna sell your 3/8" set ?

What are you using them on? Apex has some, and I think they may be Snap-on's source. (I believe limited sizes though)

GP has just about every size in magnetic....deep and shallow up to 19mm and 1" if I remember right.
