Ordered online to get 20% off, picked up the wrenches from the Advance Auto down the road to fill in some spaces. Then to Northern Tool for the Ernst wrench racks and a tamper-proof torx set to go in my vehicle with the other Bondhus fold up tools

how good does the wrench rack hold onto the wrenches? i currently just have my wrenches tossed in a tool bag but i was thinking of getting some rails or something else.

They work great! The wrenches fit securely and lock in place nicely. The racks are pretty pliable so they bend to fit the wrench

Yep the ernst wrench racks are the only ones i will use. They seem to make the nicest one out there easy to use and as mentioned pliable.

Yes they count!! That's right down my alley as I need one of them myself as well and I am surprised I haven't broken an ankle or leg with all the concoctions of **** I used to stand on when I need to get up high.

Ms. Santa thought I was good so Mr. Santa treated himself this year. Our last year to do so since we have a little one now.

I only turned on the grinder a couple times after I mounted it to the stand. I left the rubber feet on it and tightened it down to the stand probably not enough. It vibrates a bit. Both wheels seem bent ever so slightly. I have to keep a foot on the stand or it will walk away. Im going to take the rubber feet off and see if that helps. If I hold it down its very quiet and smooth otherwise Im going to have to bolt it down to a bench. You get what you pay for. I didn't expect amazing.

Also probably doesn't help one of the shrouds was dented in when I opened it. Had to rubber hammer it back out into place.

Hey, saw that portable work table on the northern tool website. How do you like it? Find it useful?

For what it's worth. I have two. One has adjustable height. I love them. Use them constantly. One is dedicated as an assembly / painting table. The other is a spare for when I need to span a distance or simply need a table for tools.

It folds quickly and opens even quicker.

That one my FIL actually bought me so it was a gift so I'll keep it. If I woulda bought it, it would be going back.

Haven't used it yet. Here is a video I made showing how easy it is to assemble and disassemble.

It is way beyond my expectations of being sturdy and well built. I can't wait to use it on a project. I got it from amazon before they sold out just before christmas. Other sellers have it now.

I almost thought about getting another one once I saw how awesome it is. I will wait on that decision after I put this one through its paces.

I got a Keter table as well for my birthday last year and I love it. It's so useful and fast to take down / put up. I've been strongly considering getting a second or third of them.

They show up from time to time for 35$ at Costco.

The same model that goes for $70-80 on other sites?

I've got plywood over two sawhorses at the moment - I like the size of the workspace.

However, id love to be able to put it up/take it down as needed and use the space for other things when necessary.

The only thing off-putting about the Keter model I guess is that it's only about 2' by 3'? Decisions decisions as always lol.

OCD, if I parked my ladder there, within 17 seconds the wife or kids would open the garage door from outside and I'd be trying to source door panels and figure out how to straighten the track...:)

Yep that same model, or I should say one of three. All three have been at Costco but there are three models I generally see. You'll have to decide which is for you. First there's a fixed height one with two squeeze clamps. Then there's the adjustable height with two squeeze clamps, and there's a fixed height with 2x hangers. It has two brackets that hang off one side that you can slide 2x material into for cutting it / working on it similar to how you'd use a pair of Woodworker's viseai or how you'd use a Moxon vise. They are all gonna be super stable and awesome. Though, I think the adjustable height has a lower weight capacity. The fixed ones will hold 1000lbs.

I didnt take pictures, but can if interested, because I never got the Armstrong ratchet. The guy never called back and I realized the 1/4" Craftsman I had was just fine to begin with. So I soaked the head in gun oil...I couldnt get the clip seperated from the ratchet....it is probably for the best since zi would have probably misplaced the parts and overgreased anyway...plus, the gun oil should be plenty-plenty good.

For December I got, IIRC...

A cue tip tool
A power-torque 3/8ths, 6" extension and six sockets (12pt.)
A Lisle plastic push-pin removed....I almost got the interior panel remover, but lucked out and got this one. I kind of ought they were the same piece at first.....
4-way ACDelco tire iron

I want a battery brush. I need a brush that has the bristles on the tip versus regular brushes that have them at ninety degrees to the handle.

I have had the 6 footer for awhile now, I think I got it at home depot for around 100 bucks... The 8 footer is from home depot and was 150 bucks... Both are fiberglass with aluminum steps...

I also have an extendable werner that goes from 5 feet to 8, but is heavier to lug around job sites...

Work has spoiled me. I am so used to just firing up the torches to cut off a bolt, blow a hole in a piece of plate, etc.. Anyways I got pretty mad over the weekend while trying to build a plow mount, so today I bought this for my home shop. We'll see how long the little bottles last. If I go through them too quick I'll rent bigger ones.

Nebo "Larry C" C-O-B (Chip-On-Board) LED Power Work Light Flashlight ($8)

I'm really impressed with this pocket light. The light output is wide and very even. At 170 lumens, it's bright but not so bright that the bounce-back hurts your eyes. The pocket clip swivels and is magnetic too.

Its a great little light to keep in the glovebox and at $8 if you lose it, it's no big deal.

Just hauled in a boatload of Made in USA hand tools at Menards (less the German Knipex pliers as channellocks are junk now a days).

20 OZ Vaughn Framing Hammer
16 OZ Vaughn Ball Pein Hammer
7 Piece Elkund Metric Hex Keys
7 Piece Elkund SAE Hex Keys
7 Piece Elkund Torx Keys
10" Knipex Pliers
8" Knipex Needle Nose Pliers
10" Knipex Dikes
6 Masterforce (Pratt and Reed) Screwdrivers
Metric Deep Well Masterforce sockets
SAE Deep Well Masterforce Sockets
46 Piece Masterforce Socket set
Masterforce 1/4" Ratchet
3 Masterforce Extensions (3/8 and 1/4")

that will pretty much fill out what i need for my 12x20 workshop, I have some junk wrenches that I will put out there for now that will eventually get replaced by made in the USA stuff. By the way...the cooler they are all sitting on is made in USA as well (ORCA)
