Looking to get a set of swivel impact sockets, 1/2" and maybe 3/8". I have chrome gearwrench 3/8" swivel sockets already and they work good for me. But would like to get some impact ones. Something that won't be used too often in home garage but also don't want something that the swivel is going to blow up with light use. So are the HF ones decent? Or is there something else around the same price range I should get?

You mean the wobble sockets, right?

I bought the 3/8ths wobbles and they work fine. I use thembwith the milwaukee 3/8ths impact. Kinda rarelybused item. But when you need it.,,,,

I have the 3/8 and 1/2. I have only used them a few times. So far, seem to be OK. If you use them alot, might consider a better brand.

I have 3/8th in HF and 1/2 in GW, They both see the same amount of use over the course of the last year or so daily and neither have had an issue.

Most of the impact stuff from HF works just fine.

have you read some of the reviews on there site? I went with a pin less adapter from craftsman instead of buying a whole set.

Wobble or swivel. Harbor freight and snap on and many others call them swivel, not wobble.

I have the U joint adapters but they don't work as good as the actual sockets. The actual sockets can get in more places.

I have the 1/2 impact ones from harbor freight. I use them regular with my impact and never had a problem with them.

These.

Does HF sell the skipped sizes individually? Or what brand are you filling in the skipped sizes with?

I've thought about these a time or two. I have SK at work, and they are pretty much great for transmissions, and certain starter bolts. If I got some at home, I would likely use hand tools on them. I have no impacts for home use. Advantage over chrome universal sockets, aside from "can use as both impact and non?"

I don't think HF sells them individually. At least I haven't seen them at the store.

I think the spring issue had been fixed with a beefier spring.. I'm still testing my new set but so far they are holding up nicely.. Check my website to see the comparison pictures of the old retaining Springs vs the new. Autofixpal.com... End of this week I'm going to do the full review as it will have been 2 weeks of heavy use.
