My current drill (dewalt) is just about done and since I have the 1/2" C3 impact, I'd simply figured I would stick with that line but the more I think about it, the difference between the two comes down to price since performance is going to be almost the same from each and I don't "have" to stay with craftsman. If I had more than 1 craftsman item then it would be a harder decision I reckon.

I have several c3 tools and have not regretted any of them. I hope they come out with some new stuff. I'd hate typ see them keep shrinking the line. I've got enough invested in it that out would really hurt to switch to something else.

^ same here, I have several C3 tools and 4 Li-Ion batteries but if you look at the Ryobi line they have a lot more tools that the C3 line doesn't offer. I'm thinking buying two Ryobi tools that come with batteries ought to be enough to get me access to those missing tools while I still keep my most used C3 tools (drills, impacts etc) as long as I can- it's just a shame because Ryobi's flourescent green color scheme is just not my first choice for tools.

Most of it looks identical other than the color. THe only thing I see is the blower and orbital polisher that interest me. That orbital would be really handy...i hate tripping over cords!

I bought the miter and returned it.
Felt more like a toy than a tool. I bet with enough adjustment it would be reasonably accurate, but it's really really small. Like 2x4's only.

Was at my local sears today and checked on the blower. They had on on display and the staff did not know anything about it being discontinued. She was able to confirm that they are not able to reserve or order one though. They were only going to give me a 10% discount on the display model, but then they cant find the battery and charger for it so it I am supposed to get a call from the manager tomorrow on what they are willing to sell for. Seeing as the price for a battery and charger is $80 im hoping they will see reason and let it go cheap! Either that or Ill pay the $100 they are asking if they throw in a hi cap battery!

I've used this drill for both smaller jobs, and, bigger more ambitious projects. It has good torque and speed; it's a performer.
I can't think of another tool I'd need, like, or want to pay more for to be brushless. Brushless has it's place.
I own one of these as well. I like it; it works good. I'm impressed
I own a corded DeWalt 12" miter saw as well. If I need to cut anything other than aluminum stock I grab the cordless Craftsman every time. It's light, accurate, super easy to handle, and clean up takes a minute tops.
I'd be really surprised if they came down more than 30% off the original price. Realistically, the tool costs more to make than the battery and the charger so I doubt they'll take what a new battery and charger costs into account. They'll probably price it as the bare tool and give you 10% off that. When I bought my hedge trimmer, it was the same situation. I ended up getting it for around $60 or $65.

yeah, if im being realistic im not expecting a whole lot from them. I would be happy if they throw in a battery and charger though. I only have one of the lithiums right now, so Id like to start replacing more of my old batteries anyway. Ill see what they say.

Upon purchase, orbital polishers and/or personal fans were delivered by unicorn express.
Picked up a floor model today, obviously used, but it included a compact, lithium battery, so a good deal. The manager confirmed that it has been discontinued, which would explain why they're starting to sell for $130 on eBay. I must say that it is a pretty cool saw. Sorry I waited this long to get it. If you want one, get it while the gettin's good.

I've had the C3 7 1/4" saw for a few years and love it! I'm right handed and I like that it is left side blade, unlike my corded Makita.
My Sears Outlet had a couple of the C3 saws in stock around Black Friday and I was tempted to buy another, but didn't. I was focussing more on the Craftsman Pro screwdrivers while I was there. I've been tempted to go back and see if they still have one left, but I can't justify the need for a second one, especially since I also purchased Milwaukee's M12 5 3/8" saw not too long ago for smaller jobs around the house. It's also left side blade, unlike Milwaukee's M18 7 1/4" saw.
Anyway, I highly recommend the C3 for around the house DIY stuff!
Welp, I did end up ordering the Ryobi blower+battery+charger from CPO outlet (on Amazon) for $60 delivered. I haven't used it yet but I'll post if there're any surprises. What this does is gives me access to other Ryobi tools that C3 doesn't carry anymore. Down the road I might buy another Ryobi battery. It's too bad I would've liked to stick with my C3 line rather than a hybrid but Craftsman chose to not offer their customers the same tools as Ryobi

I used it for about 10 min before my battery died (regular lion that i had not charged). And it works great. We had a lot of rain last night soo leaves were pretty wet. It was still able to clear the sidewalk pretty good and even clear flower beds. Overall i think it's better than i expected. Definitely better than a broom or rake! And at $25, it's a no brainer. Even at 40-50 i think it's a good deal without the battery.

Guess i will have to start watching for a blower add that t the watch for list. I have had a worx blower for years that i got for a gift but like to keep all tools uniform. Like all C3 stuff all craftsman boxes. Hope craftsman gets the new C3 tools on the market. Since Ryobi (I Think) and craftsman C3 are made in the same factory.
C3 polisher on eBay. $149 and she's yours. Too rich for my blood.

I am thinking that is twice what it cost. I thought those were like $70.00 when they came out.
