Picked up this New Old Stock Husky New Britain set at an estate sale Friday. It was still sealed in the cellophane with a $37.99 price sticker on it. Part of me didn't want to remove the cellophane LOL.

Nice find. If you're going to use the tools then removing the cellophane is no big deal. If you had no intention of using the tools, or planned to resell them, it probably would have been A LOT better to have left the original packaging/cellophane intact. Collectors are usually willing to pay a little more for original packaging/boxes, etc. NOS tools which have never been opened usually go for more. Still a nice find.

BB: i agree with Jim's post, but i'm guessing you will find a use for them. i also found a nice maybe 1960's small socket set that was brand new (no cellophane on mine) and they are quality tools. nice to buy an old US made tool that is new isn't it?

cheers

Nice find :rocker:

Funny thing but at most of the estate sales I go to it seems like the people are like a pack of wild dogs looking for any meat left on the bones of the dead homeowners.

Not very often I have come across nos but slowly seeing more and more HF what I do see is asking snap-on prices for craftsman tools. I will tell you this as the word spreads from places like the GJ that there is no more USA craftsman any old stock craftsman will start to rise in price and the people that do the sales will catch on super fast.

I fully intend to sell these. I understand my opening it may have lowered the price a bit but I just had to look LOL. Plus after opening a set of Kraueter Dresser (SK) sockets and finding out half were actually SK I preferred to know for sure. I did save the cellophane with the price tag and the large colorful card from underneath the cellophane has a spot it goes into inside. And let's face it Husky is not a brand a lot of people are collecting.
