Hi there all. I live in wisconsin on one of our many fine lakes in the SE corner of our state. The garage that came with the property was getting extremely run down, with insect infestations, holes in the exterior that allowed snow and ice in, and just all around kind of a dump. I had been dreaming of knocking down this garage and replacing it with a new awesome garage for years.

In my neck of the woods it literally took a year to plan it, and get permits prior to any ground being broken on the project. We started the actual project in june of this year, and finished it up a few weeks ago, not withstanding a few tweaks here and there that will be added to as time goes on.

Here is our story in pictures:

Welcome to the group! You have a great start to what looks like a super building!
Tell us more about your plans- heating, lighting, type of work you plan to do in the building.
Nice Dobie too!

Starting to come together real nice at this point. We had the concrete guys not put any sealer on it because we planned on putting an epoxy coat of some kind. We did a little homework and decided on rustoleum's rock solid polycuramine kits

Very cool architectural design with the added peaks and dormer. This is a great area to live, especially with the seasonal changes.

Thanks guys. The place I live in is a ranch with no attic, and a crawl space that has about 3 feet of clearance. All that adds up to is basically zero storage. Thats what you get when your house was built in 1951 I guess. So when the garage plans were being drawn up, the problem of no storage was definitely an issue we tried to solve.

We cleaned and scrubbed the floor with a stiff bristle broom and water about 3 separate times after the concrete had cured for about 45 days. Followed that with the acid etching kit to completely prep the floor and get it ready for the polycuramine

Looking good! Another wisconsinite here. Thanks for the great pics! I like the clean interior.

Is there a staircase somewhere we haven't seen to get into the upper level?
