What did your cost come in at per square foot to build that (if you don't mind sharing)?

Upper level has just recently been finished. A lot of it will be used for storage, and a lot of it will be used for ??? At this point, we have a lot of ideas but haven't committed to anything yet.

Im not sure what the technical builder's term for the type of foundation we have, but I do know that since we are on a lake and the water table is pretty high that we had to go above and beyond to get approval, with extra compacted stone, a beefed up slab and vapor barrier of geotech tile fabric. Here is another photo of the foundation going in that i didn't post:

We burn firewood to help heat the house in the winter with a wood burning insert in the fireplace. When we had the concrete poured in the back of the garage we had them leave us a nice sized slab in the back to build a woodshed.

So it appears to be a block wall on a concrete footing but not below the frost line? I am familiar with the floating slab, I just have never seen your construction method. I am also a Dobie Dad.

While I am a tad late to the party, I did also want to check in with all the fellow Wisconsinites here and tell you Supaflytnt that you have a great looking garage!

Hello from Merton!

Nice, I assume you looked at what options may have existed to not have the poles in the middle on the ground floor?
