Grease gun (or grease) that doesn't drip

Can anyone recommend a good grease gun for greasing vehicle suspension? I have your basic grease gun with a long arm and a flexible hose. I am tired of liquified grease dripping out the end. Often I put a towel over the end and try to hold it all together. I have used various types of grease and many of them end up dripping liquid, from Mobil Synthetic to Mystic or farm store grease.

I think they all leak. My favorite is a Lincoln 1133.

Just built a pvc holder for mine today to catch the leaking and get them out of the way.

I have a Napa one that I use Amsoil grease cartridges in. Hasn't leaked in 2 years. But grease doesn't flow much when it's -30 in the garage.

That looks nice. I have been storing mine laying down flat so when I get to using them they drip onto the floor and my work pants if I don't use a towel.

People have tried to push me to that stuff and I am glad never did, our use has declined steadily over the years and the extra equipment isn't worth it.
For most auto work a pistol grip with hose is the ticket.
I sorted thru some a while back and going to replace a couple more, tired of fixing them. The Mystic from the farm store is good, they are the makers. I keep pink for hi speed and super black bear **** for suspension.

So how many guns do people have? I have 4 (all with different types of grease). Do most of you use different guns for different grease?

I use 2 types as I mentioned. Pink common chassis and wheel brg for sheet that goes fast and 3% moly black for suspension and steering. I have a pistol and lever in each and try to use a red gun for red and a black for black. The black really hangs in there for road grime and wet conditions.

For a while I used Kendall Super Blue for wheel brgs so I could tell I had been thru them, kind of past that now and back to pink.
The Mystic doesn't have the curb appeal but as far as I know they are the real makers and often rebranded.
I was using Texaco Starplex and Starplex Molly 2 but our fuel jobber really is proud of it and the farm store is about 1/2 the cost and the Moly is 3%, not sure how much difference that makes but its a lot easier and less painful to restock the shelves.

I have an Alemite gun that was I think military surplus (new). It has a threaded shaft that you screw in to push out the grease. I put way oil in it to use on my mill and it hasn't leaked a drop.

Marine grease seems to be a little thicker--still oozes a little with temp changes though.

I've been using a no-drip grease gun holder.

I had one of those but the plastic clip that holds the grease gun opened up over time and wouldn't hold the grease gun any more.

The nature of the beast is that OIL is held is suspension by the base material of the grease. For it to work it has to give up the oil to lubricate. So to really seal a grease gun you have to seal it against oil and not just the base that holds the oil.

Ayuh,.... I've got a grease gun in each of several pieces of equipment, one hangin' in the pickup, 'n several more with various tool kits,....
Most pistol grip, a couple lever guns, 'n a battery gun,...

Every grease gun is greasy at the tip,....

If the grease is turnin' to oil, 'n drippin',....
Yer not usin' yer grease gun often enough,.....

i have a milwaukee electric 18v gun with the lucas heavy duty(green) in it. hasnt leaked but its winter and i use it pretty often. im sure if it was summer and unused it would drip out the hose. side note, that grease gun is the ****! highly recommended
