Very nice! Did you post a "build" thread? I'd love to see more of it. It's very similar in design to what I want to build.

Yeah there are a few threads on here from building it up. just do a search on username started by "dipper".

not sure how many pics are going to show up, i use to have a geocities account but it has since been deactivated. I am in the process of moving all my build pics over to photobucket.

Thanks

Wow, that gate looks fantastic, I have to show my wife & daughter.

I can't decide which I like more, the garage or the contents!

The contents fer sure for me - AWSOME rides Oldmoparz!!!

Thanks guys, but those pics are getting old & some changes to took place. I added a '70 Road Runner, sold the '71 Barracuda, & the shop got rearranged a little. In the photo, the work bench in the back, right, corner is now along the wall on the right like the floor plan shows. The 2 lifts are also in the location on the plan, but one will go against the far left wall later this summer so I can store 2 cars on & under it, to keep them more out of the way.

-----------------------

There are so many cool garages on the forum & it's hard to keep up with all of them to comment on. And for anyone who feels embarrassed about having a 1 car garage, you shouldn't. I bet most of us with larger space started out the same way, I know I did. I used a garage at my parent's house that was so small I had to pull the car out to work around it. After I moved out I rented 3 different places, bought my own house, put up a 1 car "Cover-It" shelter, & after being in it for 10 years, finally built the garage in the photos I posted. Just be patient & don't give up on finding a way to do it one day.

:thumbup:I AGREE, no matter what you have for a garage you have somebody out there that will kick it up a notch. My first "garage" was a parking spot behind my single wide.

Want to see one WAY over the top. :bounce:

Look up Alan Jackson's Estate For sale in Franklin Tenn.

Navigate through all the photos till you get to the Garage pics....:

He has some great space and full of toys I will tell you.

I bet he started out with no garage years back when he first went to Nashville and after you see this you will know he worked hard and paid his dues, it shows.:)

More like a workshop than a garage, I can only dream right now I can build me a bigger garage one day. The wood is off of a barn that was built in 1901, the doors used to be one big door and it was two feet taller. The 2*8 beams were 29 feet long and we had access to this place for three years. Had a lot of fun, O and the overhangs are 63 caddy hoods.

Working on this for the last 2 years. Almost done on the exterior. Inside is pretty much nothing.

Now that is one neat place from the outside...would love to see the inside.

Like the idea about the Caddy hoods...I need to put something over my rear man door & have a couple of MGB hoods...think I'll try to figure out how to mount one.

E tek really enjoyed the pics of your garage, love that old mercury truck. Have you done more on it? I had a Z car in my early life.

Thanks - but I hadn't even posted - YET!!!
The '46 Merc truck has been mechanically restored. It runs very well, all original. The previous owner (an old friend who passed) liked it in it's original patina, so I'll keep it like that too.

Rocket. Do you still sell fuel ? Just that I see the Fuel Pumps out the front.

Na mate!
Work is only rented, though I do own the pumps
When I first moved in I could have done fuel, but there was no licence.
(besides, I wasn't interested)
The tanks are now full of water (for safety) and some of the vent pipes have been removed. The tanks will be removed in the future by the owner as he has other plans for the place. lets hope it's not too soon.

Nothing too special. Here's some shots of mine. 30' x 45' with 12' ceilings. One 16 ft door and one entry door. No windows. Vinyl siding and roof shingles to match the house.

Not much margin in fuel. Ouch, I hope your not made to move if he has plans unless you have plans that will let you expand

Photo taken right after completion, actually it's nowhere near finished, and probably never will be. Two story, with play room/guest room upstairs, 2.5 car parking, full bath, RV storage, and covered porch.

I feel embarrased to post compared to some of these. 12x16, leaning, will be replaced with a 24x24 in 3 years.

Photos are a little out of order but house has a 3 car, and photo of my new paved road that goes down hill about 400 feet. Off to the left in dirt is where I want to put another 3 or 2 car garage for the serious projects. Only been here 2 months. Just installed gutters and complete drain system. Yosemite Park is off to the far right out of photo and coast range to the far left.
