I've been curious about the chainsaw, is ot worthwhile? Where did you get such a deal? So, I got lucky and purchased the chainsaw without charger or battery, for $50. Giggity giggity
C3 polisher on eBay. $149 and she's yours. Too rich for my blood.

Hopefully the next fan that comes up won't have a similar price tag.
Wow, I'm surprised!Wow. That didn't last long at all. Sold for the asking price.
Has anyone used the c3 shop vac? I have some syw points to use up and don't know what else to use them on right now....

There are a number of discontinued tools in this old advertising pic. A spiral saw, a planer, and a router.
I just saw this thread -- I can't believe I missed it before now.
I have that combo kit! I think it's really nice to have the three tools you mentioned -- I don't use them that often, but they really come in handy sometimes. I use the radio every day, and the impact driver is my go-to tool for most jobs. And I use the shop-vac as a blower around the yard.

I received the kit up as a birthday gift almost a decade ago. It was pricey at $500, but I think it included every C3 tool available at the time, along with 4 NiCd batteries and a rolling hard plastic case. I've been very happy with it overall, and I just upgraded to Li ion batteries last year, along with adding the Max Access wrench to the collection.
The early stapler is not great, severe lack of power. The air strike or whatever it's called is pretty good tho.
I use the vacuum for cleaning my cars. It's nice not having to drag an extension cord around. It's a power hog so having the large XCP battery improves its utility.Has anyone used the c3 shop vac? I have some syw points to use up and don't know what else to use them on right now....
this weeks purchases... the miter saw and a XCP full size battery. Damn I caught the bug badly on these tools.
Saw that too...seems discontinued c3 tools catch a premium for rarity! What is your initial impression of the miter saw?
I also saw that the planer went for 132 dollars on eBay.

this time of year, they get rid of older models to (hopefully) bring out refreshed ones for fathers day.
I made one cut with it, and liked it enough to sell my cheapie miter saw. Seems real solid, easy to adjust, and decent power.
Talked to store manager and discovered that this means 2 of the item are "on order" for each store: one display and 1 to sell.
The item apparently can not be ordered for shipping so good luck.

Perhaps you just don't have enough skills to use this saw to its fullest potential; that isn't the fault of the saw or its designers.
Did you ever consider that?
Wait, what's cheaper than the C3?
You and I have very different opinions on what's a useful tool. I bought this little guy and returned it, it's basically only useful for 2x4's.
I would prefer that this thread not turn into which line to buy. There are a number of those already. I've already done my research, I have preferences, and want to go with Craftsman. I would like to stick with whether or not the current price is a good deal or if I should wait for a better price.
Thanks, everyone.
