I was out making the pawn shop's today and found these snap on sockets they were just coming out of pawn and the girl putting the prices on priced them at 19.99 so I grabbed them up with a lot of other tools.
Anyone have an Ideal what they are for I mean you don't run across a lot of square stuff that much,

I'd have thrown the $20 at her too. They're male/female pipe plug sockets. Use on core and galley plugs, diff and trans plugs. Ect. I have that set at work.

There's been times in my life I would have paid double than new Snap On prices for those things. I have a set now but jeez when you need them, you need the them!

Nice job Moose...... I haven't needed one of those sockets in a while, last time, I had to jump in the car and run down to the auto parts store. lol. By the way, you get a "You ****" from me, too.

You ****. I'll double you money for them right now. I have a lot of transmission and gear work to do as soon as it thaws here. I hate the square drive pipe fittings on the transfers cases.

Nice find but any plug I have run into on a vehicle is 1/4,3/8,1/2 & 3/4. All of which most of us have in our tool box, a ratchet or extension

True, but I've had it a hand full of times that I ended up stripping them out with ratchet or extension. The friction ball tends to push it out of the plug and then slip. Got a pipe plug socket set and I haven't had an issue since.
