Found this box locally. Story is it was in storage for over ten years since guy had an accident and could not be a technician. Box is NEW. Not a mark or blemish. Got it for $1200 which was a steal. Made a top for it when I got home out of some 3/4 plywood.

Not sure on the slides. Feels like bearings. It does have a slide of some sort when you start t pull it out that engages.

literally new. I was shocked. Even had the manual still in the top drawer.

Nice box, you should enjoy it for many years.

Unfortunately no suckage for you. Around here that is average to high average for the box.

IMO, I don't think you did bad for $1200, it looks like it just rolled off the truck. You could search a long time and not find one in that condition.

Thanks, I agree. I did not even have to wipe it down. It looks like the day it was bought. I actually searched for a long while until I found it. The side cabinet came with it.

Just depends on what the particular person is looking for. A guy could have got alot more box for the money had he been willing to acept a few scratches, dents or the like. As long as the OP is happy, that is all that matters, but it is not a comparable metric for value IMHO. Outlying circumstance.

That is a very good buy! I would take that for 1200 in a heartbeat. Lots of mechanics spend more than that on tool carts, and there not near as well built. And I don't care what you could buy at harbor freight for 1200 bucks, nothing wrong with that, but not my choice. Enjoy it for many years !

I like it, and it is basically brand new. I just bought that side box "well used" and I wish it looked like that!

Nice find. The newer Snap On toolboxes now,you don't buy right away.Find out what the serial number is and have it checked if they still owe money on it first.Snap On technically still owns the toolbox until it is payed off, they can still repo it if the person buys it and that person is out of money.Just like an used car,you don't get your money back once it is repoed
