According to the catalog, they don't make a 36mm, SK currently only goes up to 32mm in metric.

Using my google-fu it would appear that SK no longer makes a 36mm wrench (pages 110 & 114 of their online catalog show their individual metric wrenches only going up to 32mm). Having said that they used to make a 36mm combination wrench model 8336. If you're set on SK, then you're probably best off checking ebay from time to time to see if one surfaces.

My guess they either never did or haven't for a long time. I bought my metric topper kit 10 years ago and 32 is the largest. 99% sure 1 1/2" is close enough to be a good substitute.
Besides Snap-on (their 36mm wrench looks cheap), what would be comparable to SK as far as quality? I bought a 36mm/1 7/16 fan clutch wrench at Napa and it messed up my fan clutch. I later found out that the 1 7/16 is actually 36.5mm and so it was loose enough to round the edges of the fan clutch

Typically, you'd want to use a service (thin) wrench on a fan clutch. Proto makes one in 36mm. Part # J3536M
If you have some room to work, a Knipex Pliers-Wrench works wonders as well. I've used in on a couple of different fan clutches. It won't work on some clutches because the fan is too close to the engine to let you get a good grip.

Schley fan clutch wrenches are very high quality I use them all the time without a problem
