Looking at buying a StartechWeld VHD32 kit and was curious if anyone here has heard of them or used them before and if so what are your thoughts about them?
The thing is the price or juice between the knocks and the real deal isn't always a huge leap. Not like the difference between a Snapon wrench and a HF.
Welding equipment held this for a long time but tech has now came along and increased the margin a lot. Used to be a cheap machine was still expensive in comparison but the spread had really widened as of late making the cheap a better pot odds bet than it had been. It hasn't quite matured in wire feeds probably largely due to materials cost but the little stick inverter is leading the way.
Mine live in the back of my pickup, year round,...
I swap the hoses every few years due to sun rot, 'n replace the gauges as they quit workin'/ rust out,....
