I've read quite a few threads on here, but most of them seem to be about the smaller welded cabinets.

I'm looking for the large 36"+ wide and 70"+ tall. Pretty much all of these you have to assemble, unless you get into the high dollar stuff. So with that being said what have you guys used? Pros, cons?

Gladiator and performax make the bigger cabinets and are available at Lowe's and Menard's. I don't really want them shipped to me, I'd rather go to the store and inspect the box before buying.

The wheels on one side do lock. The new 48" cabinet comes with legs and not feet BTW.

You're in the Milwaukee suburbs where industry is plentiful and old iron cheap. Personally, I wouldnt go with any homeowner grade box store ****, watch craigs or call a few industrial dealers and buy a couple Vidmars, Listas, or Strongholds cheap. I got my Fastenal bins nearby a few years ago, $20/2'x3' section and the dealer had ~100 left, wish I'd have bought more.

Perhaps not quite what you are looking for, but I have $120 in these two. You can get these on craigslist all day in my area.

Little paint, some casters and a handle. Less ugly, more functional.

I've seen a lot of the industrial storage lockers on CL, they are all grey or beige. I'd like black and don't want the spray bomb or brushed look. I feel trying to get them powder coated or painted in a booth would cost more than buying a nice cabinet but it would net the look I want.

Look for Stronghold. I picked up small ones for $200. They were spray bombed black and look good, but a better paint job could be done. You should find the big ones for $400 or so. Have them painted. Then you need to figure out interior layout. Some already have shelves or other subdivisions. Others are just a big empty space for you to divide.

Battleship strong. Lifetime and hand me down quality.

just did a CL search and didn't find any near you.

We use Stronghold at work. Absolutely bulletproof. They never seem to turn up on CL in SoCal though. I have been looking for several years.

I wish there were some good finds on our local Craigslist. I've been watching for 3 or 4 months now.

Sam's Club stocks them. I joined just to buy all my cabinets.

My friend has a bunch of these. They seem like a decent product for the money. I will probably go this route.
