Milwaukee warranty without receipt

Hello all

I'm wondering what happens with Milwaukee's warranty on power tools and batteries with out the proof of purchase. I own about 5 of Milwaukee tools and fortunately still have all my receipts in case. What would happen if I lost the receipts or bought a NEW tool on eBay? Am I SOL with the warranty?
Thanks

for warranty they go by the date code on the tool.
if it's unreadable they would require proof of purchase.

at least thats what i was told at a local power tool service center.

anyone know how to read the date code? I bought a few new from HD that had promo's from 2014 and 2015 inside the box so they where sitting in inventory for awhile. I have the receipts but one seems to have a weak battery that drains pretty damn fast.

I had a M18 battery doing the same thing, was about 6 months old. Ran by a local Milwaukee dealer/repair center one day after work. Guy took it in the back, tested it and brought me a new battery, said 'I'm sorry, here's your new battery'. Took all of 10 minutes, the dealer did have popcorn, bottle water and a soda fountain for the customers.

I was so impressed that I went over a month later and bought my next Milwaukee tool from them. Told the manager I was very happy with their service.

Go to Milwaukee and sign up at the Heavy Duty Club. You can also add your other brands in there with the serial numbers, where purchased etc in case of fire or ripoff or asteroid strike.
Once your in there the counter clowns look at it see all your **** with the info they'll get off of your back.

Dropbox is another good place to put scans of your receipts and stuff in for counter clowns who feel like its THEIR money you're trying to "steal".

I'm no milwaukee fanboy but I will say the people that are authorized dealers are usually cool and professional.....and well stocked with parts and what not.

Did you buy it at the same dealer you brought it back too?

Can't we just take them back to Home Depot? At least that's how Ridgid is seen.
