I'm thinking this is a handle to a machine, maybe pipes? Any clues? The only marking is an "m". Each side of the 6 put is 1/2". I'd just like to know what this might be.

It's probably a simple stamped assembly tool for something. one size fits all, and the opposite end is for some assembly operation. I probably have 20 or 30 oddball wrenches that are similarly for assembly of something or other.

I have the exact same tool, and I always thought it was a VW Tire tool. I found it in a VW bus I owned in the early 1970's. It fit the lug nuts. So I listed it on ebay as such, but nobody ever bought it and I finally gave up.

Yeah, ekegelmann, I figured some VW nut would pay the big bucks for it, but nobody ever bid on it.

That's Not a Model T tool either. Just because you can find it on Google doesn't mean it's true. You should have gone further down the page to see this:

I stand corrected; but the point is you CAN look for it, you could even try the Google pic search and see what, if anything, comes up.

Back in the day, well still being done today a manufacture in order to cut costs would make pressed sheet metal wrenches and ship them out along with their machines.

I wish I still had my older craftsman table saw but I sold it, the wrench (sorry no pictures) was as long as the one above it had a sharp tip on one end somewhat like the one above, and the other end was for taking off the arbor nut. The main difference was it was flat in nature and just pressed out of a solid sheet stock.

Yes, but I got this tool in the 1970's--that was a little bit before AlGore invented the Internet.

:headscrat

Not sure what that has to do with it. They have been making cheap stamped out wrenches pretty much since sheet metal got popular as a material...

And long before your finding this wrench in the 70's

People take pics of things and post them; has nothing to do with al gore inventing the internet...

I'm thinking that Derosa nailed it on page 1. The wrench end size is too small for a table saw tool, the taper end tells the story of its orgin.
